ok now im angry im playing online and all the time halfway through i always get disconnted and my divers points go down wtf

i played this in the GAME store in london today as toad. took me a while to get used to the controls, but when they worked, which it did, i enjoyed it.

Completed Grand Prix with 3star ranking, now to hit some time trials

Odd i never encountered a problem... check your wifi, maybe thats the source of the problem.

IGN is has an article giving awards to the different Mario Karts (best tracks, best multiplayer, etc.) including an overall best game. The hilarious thing is that they picked MK 64 as best Mario Kart. More like the worst Mario Kart. And Adam won't like the fact that they gave best tracks to MK Wii.

If youmre having connection issues, keep in mind it's a new popular game. The same thing happened for Mario Kart DS, MK Wii and Smash Bros. Brawl

Too much traffic. Let it chill and it'll work fine later. I'll probably be trying to unlock characters and get a good feel for the courses before running into online, personally.

When I get the game on Sunday, I'll probably go through all the Grand Prix's in 50cc and then hop online to play against other people who are also just experiencing the game.

One glowing review I read said that the courses are absolutely loaded with hidden shortcuts, some of which are so hard to find the reviewer had to stop and drive backwards on the course looking for the entrance to the shortcut that he could clearly see an exit to. That's the kind of track design I love: where you're constantly discovering new stuff the more you race. I can't wait!

Interesting. I think there was a video where some guy with Toad found a short cut in Bowser's Castle, but I dunno if I'd consider it that. He went on top of the rolling thing and into the water below.

I hope I can "sneakily" get it Sunday... It'll be my early and possibly only christmas present for myself

But that review on Destructoid was horrible in itself lol It did not go over much of anything but angrily rant about pretty much... nothing. And comparing it to Dynasty Warriors (the guy even praises these games, how ironic) was lulzy. Whatevs. Mario Hoops 3 on 3 got mostly poor reviews and I love it. My second favorite Mario sports game of all time, also.

After that Destructoid review, I've lost a lot of respect for that site. I don't understand why people who clearly hate certain series review the games from them. It's not that he didn't like just Mario Kart 7, he didn't like Mario Kart to begin with. When I read reviews where you can tell the reviewer is a huge Mario Kart fan and they have been anticipating this game, the review is glowing with praise.

The Destructoid review was hilarious and the comments section was glorious. Seriously, you people are all gonna buy it anyways (me included), why not enjoy a little controversy at the same time?

It's frustrating when people can make a living by being ignorant.

Don't forget to do Shell Cup in 150cc immediately if you want to represent yourself as a proper Shy Guy fan.

I won't like that or the fact that they gave MK64 the best Mario Kart. I actually think MKW is the better racer of the two, but MK64's redeeming feature is Block Fort and bomb karts, and that's all. The game that introduced blue shell will get no praise from me!

But sounds like a fun article. I'll go give it a looksee.

If I offended you, I apologize, but like I said, I wasn't only referring to him, I was referring to many reviewers in the industry today. Reviewers used to be a valuable resource, but now it just seems like everyone is competing to stir up the most controversy and get the most site views. But you know the guy by first name, so clearly you know him better than I do.

Hope the next MK is like Double Dash. Possibly my favorite of all.

Anyhow, when I played the demo, I got hit by a red shell while flying... Never knew them things could fly too, but cool.. I guess

And I noticed while playing that getting hit by the blue shell doesn't impact you as much as it did in past MK games.

Yeah, I actually read in a GOOD review that you can shoot items at each other while flying. He said nothing is more exciting than sniping a guy with a green shell while flying and watching him tumble out of the air to the ground.

I've been soaking up every bit of MK7 info for months, but I've shielded my eyes from the new Bowser's Castle and Rainbow Road as much as I possibly could. I can't wait to experience their awesomeness in 3D on Sunday. From what I hear, Rainbow Road will be the best Rainbow Road ever. I hope I'm not disappointed. My expectations are quite high.
