I've actually found myself doing better on the faster versions. Probably a combination of not overthinking the timing and knowing the song the second time around.
Good to see im not the only one..
anyway question thats probably already been asked, but where's my pokemans! I read you have to beat everything in the Song select to unlock them? That seems dumb.. tho i wouldn't put it past the game as I'm not too impressed by it...
I have to say I'm a little disappointed by this game. On most of the stages, it feels like your actions are more melodic than rhythmic. The fact that picking up the notes makes the melody doesn't really help the player find the beat. I'm in no way saying this game is bad, I actually really enjoy it. I'm just saying that rhythmically, Game Freak was a little off. Oh, and every level in the first world seems to be a variation of the same song.

I still haven't downloaded the full version it looks great. This game looks like it requires tremendous skill and I don't consider myself that skilled as a gamer. The demo was fun but I could never run a perfect level after 20 or more runs through a demo stage. I'm still on the fence of getting this one. I probably will at some point but so many great games lately I just cant find the time to play them all.
Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.
I now hate Tappy... he calls changes in the time signature "speeding up" and "slowing down". I know that was meant for non-musicians so they could grasp the idea, but I'm still mad. Musicians unite and destroy that idiotic rabbit!
Finally beat the final level! I did well, I thought, but only got a silver flower. Oh well...now I've completed all of the levels, with gold on all but this and The Final Battle.
As far as faster levels go, I've gotten gold on all but one Pokemon song and up through world 5, with a few others here and there afterward. Even if I never manage to 100% this, I definitely got my money's worth. It's a GREAT game, and I'm glad I gave it a chance.
