Question - do I really need to defeat Calamitus 10+ times in order to get enough shadow mana pieces to finally advance a tailor job rank?
I've managed to beat him twice so far, and each time, I have only received a giant glaw from the bounty. I did find a piece of mana in a chest in the chamber behind him on one occasion, but so far I've gathered 1. I believe I need 10 of them (and an additional 2 light mana pieces).
I manage to beat silverfang by staying super close to it and its headbutt attack kept missing me(it would hit like every 1 out 4 headbutts) despite the attack been head on i wonder if its a glitch?
@Spoony_Tech My wife and I got the DLC as soon as we popped the game in simply because it gives us more character creation options. IF you're going to buy the DLC anyways, why not buy it early and receive all the bonuses right?

@spoony_Tech I haven't downloaded the expansion yet but plan too soon. Also this Sunday the group I have at Pso-world is going to play online. Were trying to setup 3 games with people who will host for expansion and non expansion. Your vwelcome to join it will be around 5pm pacific time.
About the game. Guys this is the best game on the 3ds among many great games. Open world to its fullest with huge areas to explore. Take different jobs to change things up! Its the ultimate RPG and Life Sim. I can see why it came out so late behind Animal Crossing because it blows Animal Crossing away and makes it look like a dart game in comparison. This game should out sell Animal Crossing but it won't. Don't get me wrong I love both games but there is just so much more to Fantasy life. The online play is cool once you get a rhythm for raiding areas and find out where they are to get cool bounties. Or you can go anywhere inside someone's game and just forage for crafting/smithing and just have a visit with friends. The ally feature is one of my favorite features of the game. It works like the animal crossing chat does but goes a step further and announces your friends accomplishments which you can applaud. The game is much better and much larger than I expected. I am shocked at the amount of area to explore. Very impressed! This game is a 10 in my book.
Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.
@Windy I would so be there but that's family time for me. My weekends are usually booked but thanks anyways For the invite. Also nice review there. I can't stop playing the game myself. Animal Crossing is good and all but it doesn't have a story or much in the way of action. I love crafting my own items and weapons no matter how simple it is. Best game this year for me for sure.
@Hy8ogen I would agree but those that already started the game there really isn't much of a point till later on in the game when you can switch it up a bit. I personally played for 12 hours before my system died on me and that's the only reason I went back to the title screen to even dl it. I'm not seeing the benefit of having it at this point but I got it anyways.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I've pretty much turned on every other game I own now since starting this. I was in the middle of an OoT replay and that's not gonna finish any time soon. 30 hours in since starting on Saturday and no signs of slowing down. Got a couple Lifes up to Expert level, working on a third right now.
Plus my character is insanely cute.
Game(s) right now: Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon, World of Final Fantasy Maxima

She's too thin. Have some beef!
I've neglected everything else since o started this game, It's all I can think about. I was thinking even if I picked up Bayonetta 2 I would be no where on it right now. I turned my Wii U on today just to check Miiverse to see if I had any messages. I haven't touched it since last Thursday. So far this is the second 3ds game that has Kept me from Hyrule Warriors. Both I wasn't even planing on picking up 3 months or so ago (Curtain Call) now I have about 140 hours into both games and I still want about another 100 more at least right now. I couldn't decide on body type. When she's wearing that Prince gear she does look a bit too thin, it's true. But in normal armor it's all great. I'm just a bit too shallow, even on games, I suppose.

Most people went against the norm when creating there characters. Aren't we all tired of the same old heroes? When I seen the chubby body I immediately said yep, that the body I want! That's one of the fun things about this game.

Need more people to play online with who have the DLC also I beat the game last night with 66hr ( yyaasss) I focused solely on the combat and it was pretty well easy, I can beat just about any boss so far as long as I have consistent healing going on the story was surprisingly detailed but I still have a few major questions in regard to some of the dialogue by the characters. AMAZING GAME will keep playing till they release a sequel! Would like to discuss my questions with anyone else who completed the story.
Lifes like a game there are those who are good at it and those who need some practice.

You put 66 hours into the game in a week? That is about 9 hours a day.
