Rare supported the GBA and DS after their move to Microsoft, so there's no reason they couldn't support the 3DS with a remake title of some sort. DK64 isn't so likely, but I'd be interested in a BanjoKazooie 1+2 pack.

This, a million times this, I would pay double, triple, WHATEVER! All for this, best games ever in 3D and remade? I CANNOT SAY YES ENOUGH!!!!!!!
I say enough with the Remakes already. Let's get some new material and quit milking the past. Everytime a new Nintendo system comes out they don't have to keep rehashing the old stuff.

I have no problem with the occasional remake, but at least give us a good catalog of NEW first-party stuff before we start remaking any more old stuff.
Why does anybody want this remade? Why? There's already how many remakes on the friggen' system let alone this game would benefit little to nothing. Just look at Star Fox 64 3D...

I might be wrong here but isn't DK64 "owned" by Rare, who are also owned by Microsoft? This would explain why DK64 never got released (or re-released) on the Wii Shop Channel
Actually the Donkey Kong Country games which DK64 is part of is owned half by Nintendo due to them owning the rights of the Donkey Kong characters but Rare owns half due to the fact they designed the levels and such which is why those games cant be on XBL either.

The only remake for 3DS that I want to see (and that's further down the line once the new, original games come into play more prominently) is Majora's Mask. As for DK, I would be more interested in seeing a new Donkey Kong Land game in the style of DKCR.
That would be one 64-remake too far in my opinion. If we're finally going to get a Rare game on a Nintendo platform, and if it has to be a remake, why not one of their...you know, good games?

I have liked the N64 remakes but the only other game left I'd really like to see is Majora's Mask. They've pretty much exhausted the list of interesting N64 games I want to see remade that don't have an equivalent. Not interested in DK64 so I agree with this:

GoldenEye 64. That will put that extra analog stick to good use.

Holy hell. Opinions of this game vary from "The most awesomest game evar" to "Nearly killed my gaming".
I personally had a great time playing the game. My only complaint is that there were many too many different things to collect. Still would welcome a remake, though. The 3D would sure help me to swing from vine to vine more easily. Had a little trouble with that because I kept misjudging the distance.
I never understood that (too many things to collect) argument. Hmm let's see... More collectables = longer game. Don't most people want games to last and get their money's worth? I personally loved DK 64 and had no real issues with it other than Beaver Bother which was in fact quite a bother. Alot of the N64 platformers were usually top notch games. Mario, Banjo, Conker and yes even DK.

For me I'd rather have a game thats long due the amount of levels and story content not because of some meaningless mini games just to get some silly GREAT JOB screen after the credits or just to have bragging rights amount my friends

Yes, but to a certain extent. The amount of collectibles DK64 had was just way over the top, to the point where it was frustrating.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
Maybe it's just me but I usually like collecting things. I don't give a hoot about the bragging rights but it is nice to get a special ending for finding everything. Just as long as it's more than a GREAT JOB screen. Especially if unlockable secrets are involved. I hardly ever hear anyone complain about too many collectables in Zelda games and they have a crap load. All the N64 games like DK 64 had tons of collectables also. It was just the nature of a 3D platformer. Making it to the right side of the screen wasn't enough anymore like it was in the 2-D days.
