I admittedly may have forgotten how bad Wii games look, but I'm pretty sure the Wii is capable of this.
Even if the 3DS is as strong as you claim, the difference is much closer than you make it out to be. A Wii on steroids implies it is somewhere between the Wii and 360/PS3. And I sure haven't found any games in that department.
the graphics are fine, never one to make it a big deal, its the games that's (imop) that are important which all handhelds including its competition has plenty of
Good enough for me....I wasn't expecting PS3 graphics or whatever here anyways. I know how Nintendo works, they sacrifice graphics for gameplay and other weird things they come up with. (motion controls, dual screens, etc, lol)
Having less of one doesn't make the other better. You can't sacrifice graphics for gameplay like that.
When I first got mine the graphics for Fire Emblem actually shocked me I thought they look awesome for a handheld. So yes I would say they are definitely good enough. like @sheldonrandoms said gameplay is more important that graphics anyway. But still nothing wrong with a game looking good. SMT IV looks awesome as well so I'm definitely satisfied with the 3DS's graphics.
For a handheld Nintendo system there good enough. But seeing vita look that good kinda makes me think otherwise >_> i just wish they put a little more effort to smooth out the graphics so they dont look jagged or pixly. Especially on the XL but can't get everything we want
No. Kid Icarus Uprising frequently had terrible framerate issues, and when a first-party game can't run smoothly then there's a problem somewhere. That's not the only game where's it been an issue either.
That said, 3D Land and OOT3D are gorgeous and run like a silky-smooth dream, so there's that too.

That has to do more on the game themselves, not the system. Monster Hunter being a perfect example, since it uses Anti-Aliasing. (reduces the "pixeliness")

Framerate issues? What are you talking about? o____O I played it from start until the end and I don't see any issues at all at the game.

The ONLY time that game had horrid framerate issues is during one of the multiplayer stages. (that volcanic arena) Other than that other multiplayer stages had ok framerate....and as far as I could tell, the Story Mode ran perfectly.

have we seen the 3ds's max graphic potential or can it still dish out more or even way more ?
I'm sure the "prettiest" game of the 3DS's life cycle is still ahead of it, but I wouldn't expect any future 3DS games to look drastically better than the games that are out now either. By now, we've likely seen most of what it's capable of.
As much as you want to make this argument, you can't have one without the other. You can't completely rule out graphics as part of a game nowadays. In my opinion, graphics, gameplay, story (depending on the genre) and audio are all important to a game.

To be fair, I remember games on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii that had framerate issues. Just because there are issues doesn't mean the system is necessarily at fault
