There is a new game coming out this Thursday to the NA 3DS eshop, it's called Demon King Box.
"Demon King Box mixes real-time strategy with classic RPG gameplay. Gather demons and heroes to join aid your quest. Multiple types of minions can be gathered not only by conquering, but also by researching minions. The demon heroes can enhance the demon legion with their unique skills. Demons level up and get stronger not only by victory, but also by feeding them with their favorite food.
Other features:
-Intense battles that can only be won through strength and skill.
-Expansive demon world with diverse locales to be explored
-Various demon heroes reveal their personality through captivating voice-over work.
-A gripping storyline.
-Gallery and achievements offer additional content for the dedicated gamer."
However this game is rated M because the game has nudity...depending on what it is, this might be a new thing for the eshop....what do you guys think? to tell you the truth I'm shocked to see if actual nudity comes on the eshop.
Finally played it since I got to review it, to sum it up it plays like Cocoro line defender on the eShop, but it's better in pretty much every way, as for the reason why it's rated M....let's say it's boarderline...stuff is there but you don't see it bare...
But will have a review up within the week if anyone is interested!
Im up to level 3-9 (last level on the 3rd plan) and got to say the game is okay but expect to GRIND ALOT. Some of these levels can not be beat unless you do major grinding (there is still a level in the first stage i still cant beat. The AI seems to be fixxed meaning if you lose a battle and and you lose cause all of the monsters on LINE3, but like up all your monsters on line 3 and you will win. The so called demon fusion is a joke since you will never use these big demons. The 3rd one you unlock need 50 points of power and good luck holding out till you have 50 points . I think there was only 1 or 2 maps that i had over 40 units of power without having to cast new demons to defend my lines.
There are a total of 20 demons and 5 fusion demons (what you really dont fuse they just UNLOCK once you have the 2 small demons and the right about of food) you DO NOT LOSE the 2 demons you so call fuse to make the bigger demon. You unlock a new demon about ever stage, like i said right now on the the 3rd world on the last fight and have every demon unlocked besides the 20th and the 4th fusion demon.
the game is a simple RTS game where you have to put your demons in a line to defend against the demons that are coming down the lines (something like PVZ) each of the demons have a cost (some cost as little as 2 well others cost 50 or more) you earn power ever few second, each time you cast a demon you have to wait for the cooldown before you can cast the demon again (what is a few seconds up to 30 seconds for the bigger ones) Most of the maps are Kill xxx monsters to win the maps besides the final stage where you have to defeat the boss . Like i said there are 20 demons (about 1 unlock on each stage) and you will have them all by the end of the 3rd area. You earn food to feed the demons after each stage (you can repeat the stages all you want) the demons are level cap (meaning after upgrading them 8 times you can no longer level them up) The bosses you control i think you can level them up 10 times (each time giving them more HP and special features every 3 or 4 levels)
The game should last you at least 8 hours *around 3 hours if the grinding wasnt needed) your going to be going back and replaying the same maps just to get food to level up your demons.)
Its a fun game and worth the 4 bucks and i would love to see them take this idea and bring it out on a major cart game. . Now i would love to see them take this item and make it into a full game where it had like 10 or 20 areas with 200 or more demons with no level caps (or maybe level 99) I would be more then happy to pay 40 bucks for a FULL game like that
I'm about 20 hours in (still missing one elusive unit, and I have completed all 36 fights, don't know where to find it), and here's a cheap strategy to win EVERY FIGHT.
Level Swet Hani, the Slime Queen, and the slime unit to the max (shouldnt be too long if you focus only on those two). Swet Hani Level 1 skills boost all slime HP, the Level 2 skills split all slime on the field in 2, and the level 3 make a slime appear on each line. A slime unit only cost 2 to summon, and they recharge quickly. Just SPAM THEM. You'll even be able to reach the 100 units cap in a fight that way. The enemies will never be able to overcome you. During your slime spam, summon others more powerful units here and there to finish the fight quicker. It works for EVERY FIGHT (even the post game one), except one. Post game Kaos. This one is way too strong to use this strategy. Plus there's glitch with Swet Hani when she fights a Big Dragon (and Kaos summons them). When the Dragon attacks with Swet Hani in the fight, the game will crash, every time. It even do that the other way around, if you summon a dragon against post game Swet Hani, you'll make the game crash.
For Kaos post-game, level up Masked Giant to the Max and use another Hero (I used Kaos because of his awesome skill set). Still use slime to contain enemies until you build up 50 energy, at that point, summon your fully leveled Masked Giant in one line, and then just focus summonning others monsters on the line without the Masked Giant. You'll win the fight without any trouble then, because Masked Giant at max level is a tank with massive destructive power. That is all for now.
wonder where that freaking 20th demon is at
i just beat the main story at hour 8. now to try to beat the extra 12 post game maps.
This game is great... just don't play for the story. A five year old roleplaying in broken English would make more sense at times.
Keep this in mind and you will enjoy the gameplay and the game to the fullest, as it deserves a purchase for that alone.

I got a few codes for the game, I might give them out or can trade for one! if anyone wants to trade let me know on backlog (wouldn't mind getting Mario Golf from CN) and if no one wants to trade then it's for whoever gets the codes first! but I will post them on my backloggery!
game has a lot of bugs. as the dragon crashing bug to Not enough monsters bug ( i had to kill 124 monsters yet only 123 came out, I left my system on for 45 mins and the 124 never spawn meaning i had to replay the entire map.
@slidecage Sadly, that's not unusual for CIRCLE-published games - I think they don't really playtest that stuff to begin with. And hoping for patches is more or less a lost cause.
Well, I bought the game. So far I'm enjoying it. I have no idea what Hero I should train though.. so far I like the Slime queen but I'm afraid to waste food on any heroes, heh.
Is the game actually decent or just "it's so bad it's good"? Reviews seem to indicate the gameplay is the former while the story and translation are the latter (or maybe not even and they're just bad)
I gave it 8/10, simply because the gameplay was fun. The story doesn't really matter at all, besides the main plot which you can gather fairly easily.

Yeah.. the story is bad, but funny in a way just because the translations are just weird sometimes. The gameplay is actually fun though, it can get pretty intense and takes a little thought. I'm pretty happy with the game.
Also interested in an EU release. Had an email reply from Circle, they planned to release in EU mid Sept but its not yet confirmed by Nintendo... still abit more paperwork apparently.
