The game will also make use of 3DS cameras in a way that has to do with the title " Mirror of Fate ". The camera on the inside will act as a mirror and both cameras on the outside will be used for new puzzle mechanics

Yay for Castlevania. Although at this point I'm expecting something average at best. Especially from the use of the camera with the 3DS version. Hope they turn out to be good games.
@Shingi Yes, Lord of Shadows is indeed considered a "reboot" (or whatever you wanna call it), and not part of the previously established canon.
Dave Cox of Konami wrote:
"It's not part of the so-called timeline. This is an original, standalone product. We didn't want to follow the timeline because we felt it would put us in a bit of a box in terms of what we could do creatively. We didn't want to be in that box. A lot of people don't understand the timeline. Even the fans - a lot of them don't really understand it. And we want to bring in new people to the game, to the series, to make it more mainstream."
Lords of Shadow was one of the worst single games i've ever played. I'm not joking... even thinking that constant"epic" music, hand holding, Patrick Stewart and invisible walls burns my brain out. If they make a sequel, i'll just pretend that it doesn't exist. And LoS, i'm gonna throw out of my window pretty soon with a sticker: "take it, play it, and enjoy it if you got no taste."
Now, back to playing Shadow of the Colossus (what a masterpiece).
Game takes plan e 25 years after LOS and starts reboor Trevor Belmont and reboot Simon Belmont as well as two more unannounced guys. Looks like they are going to try and tie more of the old stuff into the new universe so a lot can make even though they are different expect maybe Soma.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
I have zero interest in Lord of Shadow 2, but I'll hold off on disregarding Mirror of Fate until I can actually see it in motion and read in more specific detail about how it plays.
I can't say I'm terribly thrilled about Iga's apparent lack of involvement or the decision to go all-in with polygon-based characters and environments over primarily 2D designs, but those choices weren't totally unexpected. Whether or not I get Mirror of Fate will hinge entirely on how effectively Mercury Stream manages to capture the spirit of my beloved SotN-style Castlevanias, which, to their credit, they at least sound like they're trying to emulate.
Well it's good to know I've been given more time to get Order of Ecclesia before they announce a good Castlevania again.
How do you know it will be bad?
It's not that I think it will suck, it's that short of it being a huge improvement over what I played of Lords of Shadow (like Assassin's Creed 2 levels of improvement), I have no reason to get it instead of plenty of other games.

I need my Metroidvania medicine.
It's actually more likely that this'll be a classic castlevania. Lord of Shadows was a strictly linear action game, after all.
