I realized every commenter who complains about MP:FF, Zelda Wii U's delay, and pretty much every video game in existence falls under same the "unhappy" category talked about in this article - http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-reasons-youre-not-happy-success... - as Youtube and other comment section/forums in general. So even if the final product ends up polished, commenters will still fall through that same gigantic black hole of misery.
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

What did you think? We Nintendo fans were hoping for a game that feature Samus and the Metriod that we all know of, not this boring shooter that only has the name of the franchise and nothing with the franchise itself.
Actually, as a Nintendo fan, FF is reasonably close to what I wanted from a spin-off Metroid game.
I'm kinda surprised Nintendo didn't say anything about the game during the direct? We haven't heard anything since E3,just wondering if the game is still on from all the hate....
They're probably trying to figure things out due to the surprising fan backlash the game received. They'll probably wait until they give it another reveal though I doubt they'll cancel it considering it's already in a playable build and initial floor reactions at E3 were fairly positive(which is funny compared to the thrashing it received online)

Blast Ball looks fine to me, dunno much about FF since I haven't seen much of it. (the bosses/enemies look boring, though)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Hopefully it's either being massively retooled or cancelled. What we saw at E3 was pure garbage that should never have seen the light of day, but the concept behind the game could make for a good spinoff if they make it more Metroid like. But if that's too much effort for them to bother, then just scrap the entire game, it'll do more harm than good for the series.
says you. but you know nothing about it, at least not enough to make that statement. i, for one, can see this game for what it is. a spin off that looks like fun.
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword
Guess what, ladies and gentlemen?! There is a hype train for this game!!! I decided to give this game a chance to impress me! Let's GOOOOOO!!! Whose with me????
You people just restore my faith in this forum. I love you for not hating. <3
I will give this game the chance it deserves.
I am not a Metroid fangirl, but I understand how this upset a lot of people.
But after all it is a game that should be seen as itself and not as a piece of shattered hopes.
Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.
I'll give this game a chance if there is a robust single player element, but if it's a Triforce Heroes situation, I'll pass. I don't enjoy playing co-operative multiplayer games. I would rather play by myself.

Yeah!!! There's a hype train for this game!!! Let's go!!!
I am really excited for this game. Finally a Metroid game my brother and I can play. He is a huge Metroid fan and I really like the series too. He was disappointed by what he saw but he has come around and is at least interested in the game. As long as it is a good game then we will enjoy it. Can't wait to play some Blast Ball.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
I hope that they will show more of the game soon because it looked interesting to me. I like such spinoffs like Triforce heroes, because Nintendo never had solid online titles with innovative gameplay.
If the money from that game go for a new Metroid Prime adventure game then I will gladly buy a sequel as well.

I didn't say the final game would be, just what we see at E3. The game is entirely salvageable if they makes the right changes, but the sheer amount of hatred for this game, least not of all the 90% dislike ratio on Youtube, sends a resounding message that the fanbase doesn't want a game that plays like it currently does. If they can retool the game, especially the level design, so that it retains more of the exploration elements in a new way befitting of a co-op based spinoff, then I think the fanbase would be more receptive of the idea and see the game for what it is. But if they make an entire game of bite size combat oriented levels then the fanbase is going to feel like Nintendo either doesn't know what they want or doesn't care.
@Bolt_Strike: The dislikes and the amount of hate the game got had nothing to do with its gameplay. We haven't had a Metroid game since 2010, so people were disappointed to see that the next game was a spin-off and wasn't the big Metroid game they were hoping for. Nobody had a problem with Prime Pinball, because that game launched when Metroid games were plentiful and seeing how we haven't heard anything Metroid-related other than FF, the near future isn't looking too bright for Metroid either.
Well the chibi Metroid look of it is a perfectly valid complaint imo even if I'm not complaining about it myself otherwise yeah, it's a spin off who cares.
