Same, Morpheel. I stopped playing it back in January when I was about midway through the 3rd dungeon. I guess I'm just not used to the dungeon-crawler style and all, but the game just started feeling way too repetitive to me, and there just wasn't enough story or character appeal to motivate me to continue on, unlike other Persona games. I do kind of want to see how it ends though so I probably will finish it at some point, but dear Walt that 3rd dungeon is annoying as heck at times.

Thanks. I'm surprised it took so long to get a decent price cut on the eshop. I'll probably end up not getting it this time, as I'm trying to focus on clearing my enormous backlog before buying any more new games, but hopefully it'll become a staple in Atlus eshop sales like SMT IV.

After beating Persona 3 Portable I went back to playing Persona Q. The grinding is rather rough to do.

So I finally finished Majora's Mask today and loaded this game up for the first time. Already not liking the 2 different beaching stories as I won't feel the need to play this game twice. Once is all I have time for.

Can anybody tell me the differences in the stories? Are they drastically different? Is one story far better then the other or is it just character preference? I've not played either version in offer so just looking for the best option.

@Spoony_Tech: The main story is the same, there are just a few events that are slightly different because you look trough the eyes of a different leader. Some (minor) dialogue is different. So unless you are a really big fan of the series and want to know everything about every character, it's not worth it to go trough it again.

Apparently all that is noticeably different is the first part of the game (up until you beat the first dungeon), since that's where both sets of characters meet and join.

Before that point, the back story and introductory tutorials and dialogue only feature the characters from Persona 3 or 4, so they're a bit different.

After that point, the story is probably mostly the same.

Enjoying this one so far. Still only just got to the second floor of the first dungeon but things are really opening up. Also feels strangely familiar.

I totally love this game, but I stopped playing half a year ago, when I came to the third dungeon. I walked around the first floor a bit, but then just stopped because the difficulty seems to rise to a quite frustrating level everytime you enter a new dungeon.
Somehow I got the impression that I am quite close to the end (or does the game have more than 3 dungeons?), so I should definitely pick it up again. I love the design and the music so much!

Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.

@Tiefseemiez: I don't know why but I get the sense there is at least 5 dungeons. There might be one for each legend which would make 7 but I doubt that as well. Someone with some insight help us with the amount.

@Smitherenez: Thanks again! Figured 5 since it likes to follow EO very closely.

@Spoony_Tech: No problem! I like the dungeon design in this game more than EO's. Later dungeons are really clever. I only have a problem with the third one. It should have been swapped with the 4th one because of reasons you'll find out . I hope you enjoy the rest of the game.

@Smitherenez: Well I seem to be sticking with it which says something. They keep things interesting and now I'm chasing a rabbit so I want to see where this is going for sure.

Really enjoying this so far! Just beat the first dungeon yesterday and had lost to the Gueen once due to running out of energy to heal. I went in with a different focus and easily won the second time. She wasn't bad just had so many hit points.

Didn't really think this game was going to open up even more then it has after the first dungeon either but they just keep adding so much more things to do. The story is also interesting enough to make me want to learn more. I can now see why one site made this their game of the year!

@MERG I highly recommend you get this on the next sale. It's all too familiar yet different at the same time. I can't put this game down and want to see this till the end!

@Ralizah You get your butt in here too lol. You need this game!

Ok, just had a lol moment with Teddie about the Cotton Candy!

@Spoony_Tech: I see you're enjoying it as much as I was. I bought it day one, at full price nonetheless, and it is fully worth it in my eyes. I sunk 50 hours into it, got to the 4th dungeon, and then lost all my save data when I transferred to my New 3DS XL. I stepped away from it, but it's been nagging at me to go back ever since. I definitely need to pick this up again.

@xPH03N1Xx86: I feel for ya as I lost all my data too in a transfer. I did it wrong and the memory card I transfer too was bad and lost everything. I didn't lose too much though as I did beat most games and was done with them. A few I did however lose and just haven't got back too then. Thank goodness most of my Atlus games are retail though as I've sunk at least 700 hours into those alone!
