I maxed out my precision points off a poor unsuspecting archer, lol. Their rage mode is very helpful for racking them up faster.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I really wanted to get good at this so I got my precision point high 56 on the third to last area before the end! The enemies at the beginning are incredibly slow after restarting the game on hard mode.

As for the last boss you really have to watch his attack pattern to beat him. It took me 3 tries with exactly what you had with the 15 rice cakes and invincibility for a bit! He doesn't give you much time to react that's for sure! No way in the world do I beat him on hard mode. There is hard and then just impossible for me anyways!

One thing I don't like about the game is the expert mode. It's just too outrageous to me .

@Dark_TeeJay - He's a push over compared to the monk. Just get a roc's cape, a kappa amulet, lv. 4 sword and if you can mange the blossom storm power up. All of his basic attacks are two strikes, multi are 3, and just watch out for throwing knives. Just keep your special till he starts his unstoppable attack, he won't block your special and you'll deal on top of stopping him. It's rather easy in practice and unless your on hard, the roc's cape gives you free 10 hits and the kappa's amulet gives you a death, so you should be fine.

@Aqueous I have all of those things and he still kicked my butt. It would have been nice to know about the special attack thing though, because he had one hit left and that would have finished him off.

@Dark_TeeJay - It's my favourite trick, works on all of them. Sword held high, dodge to side then back, Sword to the side, back then sidways. Both, back twice.
For multi, Both back 3 times, Sword held high, I think it was side, back twice. Runs at you, sideways then back.
The special thing I came across and have loved to pieces, I get to keep my sword strength, stop him and deal damage.

I think that's all his patterns, I took 8 hits on hard, glad I had the cape.

Just beat him, then came back into this thread to announce it and saw all your advice. Thanks though!

Expert mode is looking a lot like the 3 heart Zelda playthroughs I do. Nice!

@Dark_TeeJay - Yes but think harder. Much harder because some second area guys can one hit you with the double damage, and from the second boss on, it's all one hit kills

I just beat the game. The last boss was tough, I think it took me 5 tries but the first three were without the invincibility / revive items. I just tried the 30 thug challenge, got 4:33:43. I really like this game, I think I'm going to try to beat it on hard mode.

@nickcarney - Good luck, everything can kill in one hit after a while.

I think 8-10 is about right. It could be a bit longer. There is a lot if you want to perfect it!

Just short of Pushmo as my favorite 3DS download game. The graphics are a bit blurry at times but you get used to it. The game is also short but there is hard mode which I haven't tried yet, I'm sure that will add a lot of playtime to it. I think I would give it a 9/10, easily worth the $6.99.

If your the kind of person that just wants to beat the game it can be done in 3-4 hours. I took me closer to six because I like to perfect a game as much as I can. It does have other things to do other then the main quest like in towns. Money is more important in this game as you will need to buy plenty of items to sharpen your sword and replenish your health. It really does take a good amount of effort to truly master this game. Bosses can be really hard until you learn their patterns which constantly change when their health depletes. Overall very good game but I do think it could use one more section like a 4th world so to speak. Although I don't know how the enemies could get any harder!
