That being said, an E3 presentation isn't really advertising. Only die-hard gaming nerds and press pay attention to it. They'll need to get the word out to EVERYONE in order for the shop to do better, or it will only be the same people using WW/DSiWare already using 3DSWare.
I don't think the launch line-up is bad (and there will doubtless be a surprise or two at E3). It will take a while for games to be developed, after all. Looking forward to free Excitebike and VC titles. There will also be all of DSiWare (which is hopefully integrated somehow smoothly into the shop, not just the old DSiWare shop copy pasted as a separate, crappy, section).
DSiWare was a particular shame, since they started off right just by giving out the 1,000 free points. That's an idea they should definitely bring back. Well, actually, the announcement that Excitebike 3D would be free has pretty much the same effect...it still gets you going on the eShop and looking around.

And maybe E3 will be the place to test the initial reaction of people. Maybe that's why they pushed the date back. And of course they still have to advertise to "less geeky" people.
angry birds and cut the rope? Don't think so. Those are made for iOS devices, not Nintendo Handhelds. Even if it is true, ow would they incorporate the 2 screens and 3D all in one system? It doen't sound likely.
angry birds and cut the rope are also available on Android systems too. And work really well even on a low powered android device. Cut the rope and Birds should have no problem being ported over to DSiware let alone the much more powerful 3DS.

And Angry Birds would be awesome on the 3DS. You could have the slingshot on the touch screen, then have a full view of the action on the top screen. Make good use of the 3D I'd buy the hell out of it I just hope we get an f'in date on the WiiWare/DSiWare/3DSWare versions soon

@Sushi: Nintendo isn't in the habit of marketing things that haven't released yet. I mean yeah, we get a certain amount of pre-release news, but that's not really the same thing. I figure they'll probably at least TRY to market the eShop, but that won't happen until release. I would also expect some amount of the E3 show to focus on it, especially seeing as it actually releases that same day.

@WarioFan63: And we desperately needed some random game to show off MotionPlus two years after the peripheral released...why? Especially considering we're getting Wii Play Motion next month...I think it's pretty obvious that game will serve that purpose better anyway, and there's a 99% chance it'll outstrip the sales of FlingSmash exponentially.
The fact remains that generally speaking, Nintendo does not do a very good job of choosing titles to release locally. They took a chance on Glory of Heracles at random, when nobody (to my knowledge) had been asking for it, while a number of games we DID want got ignored. The mere fact that so many games miss localization at all is stupid...Sony doesn't have that problem.
The thing is though, Sony's console isn't region locked either. Even if they didn't localize anything, I doubt there'd be too big of a problem importing a game. Also, localization seems to be handled by the Nintendo division in each region. If we're not getting games, it would be because Nintendo of America doesn't want to localize them. I mean Nintendo of Europe seems to be doing a lot better nowadays with localization than Nintendo of America.

I recently saw an article on Joystiq that said that Capcom said MM Legends couldn't be re-released due to licensing issues. Of course, if Capcom really wanted to, they could probably work a way around the issue.

Worst part is that the voice acting is part of it. Honestly I don't care if they change the japanese voice actors. Hell, as much as I love the original english voices, I could live with most of them being replaced. But, this better not have anything to do with Tiesal Bonne! Seriously, I have no idea who voiced him but he is just unbelievably entertaining and made an already great group of bad guys into something truly legendary.
Well, we've just received word that Renegade Kid will be self-releasing Mutant Mudds for DSiWare sometime this year, and from the screenshots, I'm pumped.
