The competitive nature in me always thinks with games like this how nice it would be to have an overall total leaderboard, ie your best time for all 18 stages added together giving an overall champion (any stage you haven't set a time on you get a default three minute time for).
Sure there was a game that did this years back but I can't remember which one now.
Would give people more incentive to keep playing the latter levels too in my opinion.

OK! We write down the suggestion. Thanks for sharing.

The controls of the games are digital right ? You can play with the analog stick but the controls remains digitals I think. Did you try to make it analog ? Was it too hard to play ?
We always want more, must be depressing for devs sometimes
I wish there was some enemies also, that you can shoot. It would change the nature of the game a lot but I would love to be more free. Being able to look around, turn, go for an enemy I missed on my back etc... Descent for PC or Forsaken on Nintendo 64 come to my mind. The competitive side with the timer and leaderboard can still be kept.
And as I said before, the triggers can be used differently : right trigger to help to turn (like Z button on Wave Race and F-Zero Gamecube) and left trigger for shooting maybe?

How's the game selling so far ? I have lots of criticism but I like your game how it is actually considering his price.

But there are room for so many more ideas and features. Will you continue to develop games for the 3DS ?
And it's very appreciated when devs (or community manager) come to ask for feedback and share about their games.

I don't know how is really doing the 3DS. It must be like a strange market. I'm sure I will get hate from many people on this forum I read everywhere that it's a best selling. However I don't see so many people having one. The Eshop without account system is a bit dangerous. The choice of game if you compare to Android and iOs is a bit weak. The hardware itself feels underpowered when you look at some tablets now.... Price of retail game is high and while it started well (Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 for example) now new games announcement are very shy. But 3D is a cool gadget, and it has physical buttons. So since I have one, I hope it will still get support for 1 or 2 years at least... curious to know if devs are leaving the boat already or not.

@julienpoo
no idea why you talk about 3DS in general.

shooting mechanics would really make this game totally different. this is a racing game

Still having a lot of fun with this game. Shame that your release came along side a MH3U worldwide sale... but I'm sure it's doing great none the less. Can't wait to see the next instalment.

@julienpoo
Hi. Thanks for the feedback. The controls of the game are analog. Like @6ch6ris6 said, if we would add shooting mechanics and competitors we should re-think the whole game. Because everything we created is based on the idea of flying solo and try to reach the highest speed.
Of course that would be great to have those but that would just be a different game.
Thanks to the sales numbers communicated by Nintendo you can be sure that a lot of people own a 3DS. It's not a surprise since the device is great and the library of games is amazing. I hope we'll make more game on it.

@Chris720 Thanks! Hope you're having fun with the leaderboards. I already see that a tough competition is happening there.

Yup I agree it would be a different game. But maybe it would be a cool new direction for a next game? ^^'
I'm glad to hear the 3DS is doing well despite I was thinking. Will look after your new projects with interest

Yep that is definitely a cool direction. There are so many cool directions though To fly while shooting at competitors you should play our DSi game AiRace, available on the eShop. It was done a long time ago so the graphics are outdated but this game is great and was really praised by the critics. Thanks a lot for your support!

No I don't, sorry if it is that obvious. Btw, I don't mind you correct my poor english.
Is it cause of my english or because I'm not happy abt everything with 3DS ?

Oh no, not his English. It's good, probably better than mine in some respects. o_O
It was just the whole changing of the game and giving it a different kind of aspect on the game with shooting and all that jazz... I should probably not of replied since I wasn't in the right frame of mind at that point. e.e

I picked this up last weekend and am enjoying a lot, far more than I expected for a $5 game. Smooth, clean graphics, solid but not overdone 3D, tight controls. If you like this kind of game I'd recommend it.

The only drawback is that I don't think I'll ever see the last couple of levels as those gold medals are almost impossible to get, at least for me.

@AIGator

I'm sure you will
Here are some tips that could help you:

  • Enable the flight assist in the Options. It will slightly direct your plane to the center of the way and reduce risks of wall contacts.
  • Get knowledge of the level so that you already anticipate if you should rather fly low or high, or rather turn very close to the right wall or to the left wall.
  • Try the different routes and find which ones are the shortest. Then, always fly across this path.
  • Take very short trajectories in the curves. You will see the rest of the track earlier and have more time to anticipate what you should do, if you have to dodge an upcoming obstacle for example. Use the triggers to make stronger and shorter turns.

Hope it helps! Good luck and don't give up!

Thanks for the tips. I haven't tried the flight assist yet. Knowledge of the levels is critical - I definitely find my times get better if I focus on a single track for a while. I need 6 more gold medals to open up those last two levels - silvers aren't too hard to get but those golds are very, very challenging.
