Ok I picked this up last week during Target's buy 2 get one free game sale and I am wondering before I start playing this game is it easier to aim and such with the CPP or without it. I find that playing the demo I am having a hard time aiming just using the standard controls and wasting bullets and such. I was wondering how it compares with using the CPP before I spend the 20 for the CPP.

I can't say how the cpp is but from what I've heard from a lot of friends it works great. Did you try gyro aiming. Its what I used and much easier. You can lose the 3d from time to time but its well worth it to me.

Losing the 3D doesnt bother me since I dont play games in 3D at all and I have never tried gyro aiming can you do that without the CPP?

Yes you can. If you don't use the 3d much then I highly recommend you give it a try. You can also adjust the movement speed to further enhance the controls.

Well the main reason I dont use the 3D is that I get bad migraines from 3D effects (it happens when I watch 3D movies as well) Plus I am at school all day so I like to conserve my battery power so that it will last me all day.
As for the controls I will give it a shot (pardon the pun) and see how it goes I have yet to break open this game and only played it on the demo so I am not sure what options and that the game offers.

I agree. The final boss was definitely one of the best in the series. However I really liked 4s boss as well. I hope this game sold or sells well enough for a sequel.

You're right. As soon. As the next best thing comes along ie kid Icarus then people move on. I'm still into the raid mode as I want to set some play time with Zach next week.
I love all things resident evil so I'm up for talking about whatever game in the series. I've played all the main games. However unless resident evil 6 doesn't come out on the Wii u then it will be the first one I probably wont play for a long time.

Yeah stupid Westerners! Ruining one of my favorites with your call of duty game play crap. I want a full on return. I know you like re3 but re2 was one of my top 3 favorites. I like the double story going on there. It just brought more life to the series. I loved it so much I just had to have the n64 version when it came out just for the better visuals. Even though the cg took a hit I didn't really care. Definitely my top five gaming series for sure. Right along with some Nintendo franchises.

What's the best way to beat the communications officer? I lure him over to a big red explosive tank to stun him first, but then I don't know. Should I shoot him with the sniper rifle or run up close and feed him a Jill knuckle sandwich?
Is that the first main boss? The mayday one?! If so I just kept jumping in and out of the window. Shotgun at close range but not to close. If he gets to close it wont take much to kill ya. I remember I pretty much used up all my ammo before I defeated him!

Yeah I wouldn't rate this game a 9 by any means. Great game but still no where near the originals. Just the water levels alone drop the game a whole point for me. As for the frame rate it really wasn't much of an issue. It never effected game play. Great graphics and I really liked the story as well. I also think the characters were a plus for the most part! I still wish the game was about a 50/50 split with action and puzzle solving!
Edit: Oh and the enemies were really dull and boring! Even the detail on them looked liked capcom cut corners.
One last thing. I thought the bosses were good. What few there were that is.
I would give it a 8.5 to a possible 9 just for being better then RE5's borefest. The trick with the Comms Officer is to stun with the gas tanks then do charged melee attacks this saves ammo and beats him down quicker I have every RE title on GC and PS2 even down to both outbreak piles of zombified pooh. Favourites are 1,2,3,remake,zero,4,dead aim, some of CV was ok and Revelaitions.
I'm still less than halfway through this game, and I picked it up at launch. This is just one of those cases where I reserve a game for the perfect evenings, then find that those arrive seldom, with the result that I never end up finishing it.

yeah wavesta I know what ya mean about RE4. I was hyped for the version with the killer dolls and chain dude TBH then it totally changed and wacked it out even more the same with RE5 when they showed the first screenshots and a short trailer it looked cool then it changed from hulk back to bruce banner. 2 and 3 had that epic Romero city of the dead vibe with the coolness that is Mr X and Nemesis. I will always remember that bit in 3 at the start where the guy was in that alleyway cellar room with the shotty he was trapped so he blew his scone off, how insane is that.
You know what I dont get? why is it that so many reviews talk about 'tank like' controls if you dont have the circle pad... and not one of them mentions 'control option 3' (face buttons instead of analogue nub)... it works surprisingly well!
