Just got it in the mail today! sadly I got the re-print, no Reveliations for me.

That's probably why it took so long to get it. Amazon probably seen it was a mistake (maybe even a recall) once realized and waited for the new shipment to send out their copies! From what I here Amazon is usually pretty good about getting games out on time.

Amazon is usually pretty good most of the thime no doubt. The waiting issue is understandable considering the awesome & epic brain dead Typo in the title haha. I was actually hoping I'd get the 'Reveliations' typo, so i could sell it for 1 Zillion dollars 40 years down the rocky radical road on eBay muhaha.

Anyways! I'm trying to avoid reading most of the comments on here since i don't want any spoilers when i get around to experiencing Revelations which is going to be in the next couple of days once I plow through Contra: Operation C on the Game Boy. There's only one spoiler that i've accidently come across(Hell capcom already spoiled her 'death' in one of the trailers during her entire cutscene) where '???'(I completey forgot her name, you know...the chick with the giant Dead or Alive jugs and crazy hairdoo that basically shields her eyes) comes back as one of those liquid-y monsters later on after her quick little demise.

Her name is Racheal. You can never forget a big breasted zombie.

When I played the demo for the first time, I found it okay, but nothing special besides the beautiful graphics for 3DS But I was bored and decided to play it again yesterday, and turned gyro on for the heck of i, and whoa. It made the game so much more fun automatically. I might actually get it now that it's so fun to use. And FYI, no I don't use 3D. anti-aliasing ftw

The gyro really improved OoT3D, and now this

when/if they ever make a FPS that uses gyro controls, I'd be all over it

What is that? Look, it's a free-for all w/ killer weapons more for the heck of it than a challenge.

Limited. 3 Scagdeads (remember the Comms. Officer?) got me a game over courtesy of their appetite for "tasty."

I can't believe i still haven't opened my copy yet. And I call myself an RE fan.

Don't worry. With the Zombies (the Comms. Officer is my favorite [and the suicide note about the one bullet that was for the one guy who never used it]) all is forgiven, as long as they get their "tasty."

the campaing is long enough to keep you busy for a while (im finish normal and going for the inferno dificulty level) and the raid mode even if you already finished is still nice to play online i still play it once in a while

Finished the game a few days ago and just unlocked the Abyss difficulty level in Raid mode and I have to say... Yup, this is My favorite 3DS as of now. It tried to capture the feel of the PS titles and in some ways it did succeed. Just by looking at the harder enemies as compared to those zombies in the 4th and 5th game(Head shot explosions ftw), the conveyance of that unsettling and tense atmosphere just at every corner, the cheesy dialogue... it really does pay homage to the earlier games. All in all, it is a solid entry in the RE series but my only gripe is the story while great, doesn't seem to fit in the series and the framerate hiccups when you get from area to area.

By the way, if you guys have the extra buck, try using the Frankenstick tumor on this game, it nearly perfects the RE4's gameplay formula. looks like a pos, but it adds comfort to your hands.

Just finished the game. It took me about 10 hours, and it was glorious.

Well done Capcom. Worth every penny. Now to try some online...

What was with that room with the swimming pool and the giant blob in it? I guess it was just an optional room to explore. When I went there I felt like I was doing something I shouldn't and assumed it would be incorporated into the story, so I left. Now I wish I would have explored it more thoroughly.

Some custom parts, healing items and ammo, if I remember correctly. Also a handprint. Nothing you really needed, unless you were shooting for 100% completion.

Wow thats good to hear I am still on the fence with this one. I might download the demo and see how I like it. Does the demo do a good job of giving you an impression if you want this game or not?

I'd say yes. The demo convinced me that I wanted it (especially once I used the gyroscopic aiming option), and I'd say that the full game definitely delivered on the promise. Not as scary as some of the previous RE games, but definitely among the best.

Ok thanks I have been seeing it on the shelves at Target and such and have been tempted to pick it up but with the RE series its been hit and miss for me on whether I like the game or not. I didnt want to get stuck with another trade in.

Loved the demo and when I tried the game with the tumor add on inserted, I was hooked. I was pleasantly surprised that the exact sequence in the demo was altered in the real game
In terms of "Scare" value, the only scary part that I would consider is The second Boss other than that, every thing else was just tension and anticipation that there will be an enemy around every corner. I really don't consider the first three games scary at all, maybe they would make me jump at times(Interrogation room, I'm looking at you), but it's more of survival than it is horror and I consider it a good thing. Rather than relying on cheap scares for toying with the player's emotions, I find it more satisfying for the player to be placed in an atmosphere full of suspense, that they would rely on conserving that little ammo they have left to fend themselves against the unknown. I wouldn't mind for some mindless action from time to time, but in the case of Resident evil 5, it's getting ridiculous to the point where I'm considering Dead Space to be more RE-like. Just hope RE6 will meet expectations, even if those Chris segments go against the RE classic formula.

Yes and no. I disliked the controls when I played the demo but the further I went into the full version game, the less I was bothered with the controls and in a way, the stiff controls actually enhanced the atmosphere of the setting. Not saying the controls were terrible but there are things you can only do with the CCP.

The demo was quite easy especially once you picked up the grenades. In the full version, grenades only give you a short reprieve. The game is harder although I played on normal mode (there is easy mode which I have not gotten into yet) and it just gets progressively harder as you journey deeper into the story. Also, the demo showed very tight corriders and rooms but there are areas that are wide open (but more dangerous). Also, the bosses. Everyone of them had great atmosphere and the battles were epic!

Graphics wise, I think the demo and the full game were pretty similar.
