man. word of warning to anyone who unlocks the bonus stage in raid mode- don't try it until you're level 50. i've died on it twice now after 40 minute attempts to clear it, it is brutal. you pretty much need the most powerful guns, perks, and all the ammo bags to make it to the goal without ending up having to use your knife against 4 bosses at once. next time i try it i'm going to use the double machete /melee guy (keith?) to save some ammo.
it is really fun though, even when you fail. it's like mercenaries from resident evil 3 got a huge upgrade.

Try using Quint... use a weapon that can stun the enemies and then use his 'melee' attack. The bombs he plants affects all the enemies in the area and dont use any ammo up. Not only that but the blast radius of any explosives he uses is double so for that final attack at the real end goal you can try and bomb the oncoming hordes.

I unsuspectingly tried the Bonus Stage right after I unlocked it (I was in my 20s I think). Luckily for me though, I did it with a strong level 50 so all I had to do was follow them around, attack now and then when I have a good chance and make sure I don't get hit too much. Got through it with an S.
I was going to take a break from homework for a few minutes to play this game and end up playing for hours. I beat chapter 8. This game is simply great. It has made me a RE fan! @Waveboy A lot better than 5 a bit better than 4.
yep, raid mode is great. the later levels will make you absolutely hate those zombies that shoot darts at you, there are levels where 5 of them are sniping you from all directions while you're trying to fight two super-sped up bosses at once. i think you almost need two players to clear some of those segments easily. and somehow the ammo and health shortages in the harder difficulties are even closer to the old resident evils than the single player game was!
i've noticed that this game doesn't show up on the join list like mariokart does, seems kind of odd. you'd think if a friend had a session waiting that it would let you see that and join it from the friend list. makes it a lot harder to team up than it should be....
I must agree that its really difficult to join a friend in this game. You can always try sending notes, but thats not very efficient imo.
@BenAV I tried Stage 21 yesterday (I'm Level 41) with another level 41 and we managed to get outside to the deck. I ran out of ammo on the second round of enemies out there, and all I had left was a knife. I managed to survive the second and third wave of attacks, but I died on the fourth wave with Rachel in. Can you remember how many waves of attack there are? If we were near the end I'm definitely going to give it another go, as apparently you got tons of great weapons if you complete it. n_n

It was quite a while ago now so I don't really remember, sorry! D: I think you must have been getting pretty close though! Good luck next time.
Next time, do us a favor and hit the 'Report' link above the spam comment(s) instead of calling me out in-thread over it — i thought i'd gotten them all, but apparently not :/ — TBD
So on topic now. I completed the game on normal mode. Trying to do easy mode without heal in the future, but am only in episode 9 and too occupied with raid mode to move on. Lol ....
As for waveboys request of 4 & 5 comparison. possible Spoiler I really like Revelations, but of now i would still consider RE:4 to be the best RE of all times ( ye the action move can be debated but i still like it). Reasons ? Well, honestly my main motivation to play resident evil were the boss fights, since RE4 and even more in RE5 they become very epic. And there Revelations got a huge lack. From my counting there are practically only four Bosses in revelations: The first slagdead in the promenade. The first Dragha... , forget name , you know the stone monster on the sightseeing deck, several encounters with the dreaded Rachel ooze and the final boss "Ultimate Abyss" . So thats my dissapointment with revelations: The game is too short ( just about 10 hours) and the boss fights are too shallow and less epic. But yeah the raid mode make kinda up for it. I have to admit the final boss fights on stage 21 "ghost ship" is enjoyable. But that seemed the only challenge out there ... I know i didnt test hell mode until now, but even then if they give the slagdead or rachel just more hp and damage it wouldnt get more epic ...
I loved the boss fights in RE:4 , remember the awkward little monarch in his monster body ? That was narrow battle and thrilling. Or even the defensive of the house in the dark night just before the castle. Tons of zombies and pressure. Yes and even the good old Ogre was epic with mayhem and destroying the ammo huts all around.
Another two great Boss fights were in RE:5 vs that Spider Boss and vs the Uroboros in the Laboratory were u had to use the flame thrower. So on that matter Revelations feels just like a "handheld" title and not a real next gen iteration in the series. The boss fights lack a specific twist with specific events and vulnerabilities ( like coop using a flame thrower, or harpooing a big fish).
But end of the critics now im back at playing raid mode Really have to say raid mode is addicting. I already beat all stages on S ranks, but its still a hell alot of fun. Atm im experimenting with all different kinds of weapons and customazition. And i have to say those streetpass missions add ALOT to replay value. There are some present who cant be obtained through ingame weapon chests or custom parts. So some feel like epic parts For example i like the G18 pistol with the right custom parts it becomes a machine gune with huge damage output , but still i try to find a LvL 50 G18, as it seems very rarely.
@Stereoman, Revelations has a really nice epic battle with the Kraken B.O.W. the surviving helecopter keeps chucking rocket launchers down at you until its held off enough to get on the copter, then Chris barely gets onto the copter followed by a all out shooting phase from the side of the copter. It seemed pretty epic to me.
I was actually dissapointed in the Final boss battle because of how big this boss battle had been, but it really didnt seem like a handheld boss battle at all, it brought back memories of the final tyrant battle on the original where you were holding him off until the rocket launcher got droppped. All I can say is EPIC!!!

I really need to get into this game again - I haven't played it for a while. I stopped after beating the first real boss. I'm not trying out Raid mode until I've beaten the main story, so I 'ought to get oh it, eh?
This game is so amazing. I'm so happy I decided to get it. The graphics, the sound, and the gameplay all add up to one immersive experience. And raid mode is so fun.

To reiterate, Raid missions are unlocked (like other bonuses) by completing certain objectives (either in the campaign or Raid mode). To unlock the first levels of raid, you need to beat the third mission.
Furthermore, missions don't simply reward you with their prizes themselves - you need to confirm them in the mission list to access them.
Remember to always check your missions, because you can only have so many going at the same time.
When you acknowledge a completed mission, it'll be marked as done, and when the list starts to overflow, the completed ones will dissapear.
Just beat Stage 21! (I'm level 41 BTW) Tried once before and managed to get to the deck and was on the third wave of attack when my partner and I lost, because typically we both ran out of ammo! Got loads of great upgrades and weapons now though, and also unlocked Morgan as a playable character!
