I wish Nintendo would have just released the 3DS and 3DS XL together and given us the choice between a deluxe, more expensive handheld, and a budget smaller one. I would have definitely bought it at launch.
Fortunately, now that Nintendo have finally let us transfer software we own (read: rent out the license), switching to a 3DS XL won't be as difficult a decision as the DSiXL (which I never bought into). Although, I won't be able to trade my 3DS for the 3DSXL, I'll be able to sell it on afterwards. In this regard, a 3DSXL is a tempting proposition for me.
On the other hand, if I was to get the XL, I can wave goodbye to about 50% of my streetpasses - I'm forced to carry the 3DS in my pocket when I'm working on a till. Unless I buy some for of harness so that I can attach it to my person, because it isn't going to fit in my pocket.
They had better offer up some interesting colour options - I don't want to wait a year for reds and purples.
Thanks for sharing that! It would seem, based on that video at least, that the exterior isn't really glossy, but more like the original DS's finish. I like it, now they just need to give me that silver one!
too lazy to check the comments but has anyone said sbout the graphics, remember playing ds games both on a dsi and dsi xl,dsi was sharper but the xl made the graphics spread out more,it would suck seeing a game like ki:u,re:r,etc either more blocky or blury
@firearrow505 Why would they make another 3DS revision? There's already been announced that a CPP XL will be released later in the year, so they are not planning on adding another circle pad to the 3DS. Besides, the next handheld will probably have two circle pads, so why would they want to revise the old system when they could just create a next gen handheld with one built in?
