Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)

Putting the first one out on Switch but keeping Galaxy 2 all locked up feels plain wrong. They're both stratospherically brilliant games and deserve to be on every Nintendo console from now on. It's more likely that people will have missed the second entry, too, and we're jealous of the brilliant time they'll have when they finally get to play it. Please.

Chrono Trigger (SNES)

It's a classic that hasn't seen a Nintendo console re-release since the DS version back in *checks notes* 2008. We've got both that and the SNES original, of course, and we may have dabbled with other versions in the past, but it's time for Chrono Trigger to come home.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GCN)

We've had the original, it was very good, and now we want Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. And 3, naturellement. And PINBALL, while you're at it.

[Insert Federation Force joke here]

Metroid Prime 4 (Switch)

Oh, and the fourth one, too! You might have forgotten this one as it was announced way back in the Cretaceous Period.

Whether it's still a Switch game or if it'll have one foot in the next generation is difficult to guess until we know the backwards compatibility situation on 'Switch 2', if there is one. Regardless, we expected a lengthy wait, but we're a little surprised we haven't heard anything about this in the last decade or two.

The Secret of Monkey Island

Yes, yes, and 2, and 3. And we've even got affection for 4, as well. But since the sublime Return to Monkey Island came to Switch, the absence of 1990's The Secret of Monkey Island has been ever more keenly felt. It was re-released in Special Edition form back in 2009-10, so work has been done in the last 34 years (!) to bring it in line with modern resolutions, at least. Switch is a fantastic point-and-click machine, and it's nuts that we can't play this on it.

NES Remix (Wii U eShop)

And Remix 2, of course. We've written just recently about how we'd like to see these return — and they'd make for a perfect fit with Nintendo Switch Online, too. They may not be the most desired Wii U ports, but they're great games and we'd snap 'em up.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)

We've had 13 Sentinels and the recent Unicorn Overlord, but we'll take as much Vanillaware as we can get. Muramasa, Odin Sphere, Dragon's Crown, and Princess Crown are all excellent candidates for a Switch port, with only the former appearing on a Nintendo console (the Wii). What's that? 'Vanilaware 20th Anniversary Collection', you say? Well, actually, the company started up under a different name in 2002, so technically it would be quite incorrect to cal...

Hello? Friends?

Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U)

Good-Feel should be riding high on the warm reception Princess Peach: Showtime! is enjoying, and while we like Yoshi's Crafted World, we're particularly partial to the green dinosaur's fleecy debut, Yoshi's Woolly World. Poochy? We can take him or leave him — Oatchi's our new good boi and we're a fickle bunch — but this was a brilliant and beautiful game which deserves another chance on Switch.

(And while we're on the topic, Kirby's Epic Yarn. Always, Kirby's Epic Yarn!)

Buzz! Junior: Jungle Party

Whaaaaaaaaa?

Oh yes, let's finish on a wild card: PS2's Buzz! Junior Jungle Party. Yes, it's a little old, and yes, it's a Sony franchise, but some of us on the team have great memories of the Buzz! games, and while it's unlikely we'll be seeing Sony's Marvel's Miles Morales' Spider-Man's Video Games on a Nintendo console anytime soon, perhaps if we dream a little smaller we can build up to the big stuff, right?

Okay, we're not really surprised this isn't on Switch yet. But you can't deny it would be a great fit.

So there you are. Let us know in the poll below which of the 33 you'd most like to see, and feel free to mention others that are AWOL on Switch in the comments. There are many, many more!

Which game(s) would you most like to see come to Nintendo Switch ASAP?
