We're really looking forward to getting to play Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, and it seems we won't have to wait much longer now as its been announced that it will be launching on the 17th May on the Switch eShop for $29.99. This open-world adventure has been lovingly crafted by a former Activision producer and Rocksteady veterans at Prideful Sloth, so you know you are in safe hands here. A Switch-exclusive photo mode will help you capture precious moments and share them with your friends also.
Shipwrecked due to an unexpected storm, your young hero or heroine soon learns that they’re on the gorgeous island of Gemea. While taking refuge in a cave, a magical sprite explains that the land’s natural beauty is tainted by a strange, dark substance called Murk. With the sprite by your side, it’s up to you to both cleanse the land and assist the townsfolk and gain their trust. Farm, craft, cook, brew, and fish to restore the land to its former glory.
Wander through grand forests, resplendent peaks, and breezy shores to befriend Gemea’s lively villagers and adorable animals. Eight biomes with breathtaking day, night, and weather cycles abound with sprites that will help expel the murk, offer quests to help you earn your place on the island, and an abundance of other secrets to discover at your leisure.
If you'd like to pick up the game in physical format you'll need to wait until 12th June in North America and 15th June in Europe and Australia. Let us know if you plan to pick up this open-world adventure for your Switch with a comment below.

Switch and open worlds go together like bread and butter - at least if you like the genre and want to extensively explore more than a dozen specimens in your lifetime.* Yes please.
[*] note, even Switch doesn't give full guarantees. My 105 Skyrim hours have been spent largely in one or two holds and I haven't yet visited any big cities except for Whiterun (and once Markarth by sheer accident, but I was drunk... I mean, my character was). And beyond Switch, I STILL haven't left the starting location in Xenoblade Chronicles...
Oh wow. This is the first I have seen of this, and it looks magical. Definitely intrigued.
Yay !
A Peaceful games for me.
Time to eliminate my PS4 version of Yonder.
Hey, it looks pretty good! Didn't know about this one.
Wow! A game I never heard of before suddenly became one of my most anticipated ones!!!
A simple game with a lovely atmosphere and world to explore. Don't expect much from the farming and crafting aspects. Its a chill game that may last you 5-6 hours.
V excited for this. Looks like it will have a great atmosphere!
I tweeted the devs asking for this game to come to Switch last year, so delighted it's coming soon. I'll be holding out for a physical copy at the £20 price point.
I’m waiting for the physical. I’ve been following this for a while
Pre-Ordered! I love Open-World games!
Its like Stardew Valley, but in 3D
Got the physical version preordered.
Very excited.
Looks very good. But I'll wait for the review on Switch before I decide if it's worth. I love open world games and the "crafting and farming" are just good add's on. But Im worried we migth not lose much time with those wich would ruin the game. Just my opinion. Guess I'll check the PS4 version to get a better idea of what to expect .
@Tra6zon1uyum Just a note of caution. This isn't like stardew valley. It has simple building placement system for holding a couple of animals and that's about it. No economy to speak of. If you don't get your hopes up, it is a nice relaxing game. Stardew Valley is far deeper however. Hope you enjoy Yonder, I did : )
Looks like my cup of tea.
@nhSnork I loved reading this.. I love playing Skyrim when my character is drunk too.
Warning, this game looks fun but it really is not. If it's for your kid maybe it could be a good buy but those looking for a Stardew valley type of game could(and they will) be disapointed. Tedious, way too easy and boring... and no way to buy stuff. Everything feels unfinished.
This game is not worth more than 5$ really
Looks great! I dont remember reading/ hearing about this game at all. This is how I wish games released! A quality trailer, that is ALL IN-GAME graphics ( as opposed to worthless cinematic cutscenes), preceding the game's release by a couple of weeks.
Pre-ordered and waiting 🤩❤️
