Turns Out Worf From Star Trek Was Talking About A Fan-Made Castlevania Movie
Posted by Damien McFerran
No big-budget version coming after all?
Remember that news we posted about the Castlevania live-action Hollywood movie being resurrected? Where Michael "Worf from Star Trek" Dorn said he was involved in the production of the film?
Hope you didn't get too excited, because it turns out he was talking about a fan-made series, and not the on-off big-screen adaptation that has been in development hell for what seems like decades.
Dorn is starring in Castlevania: Hymn of Blood, a surprisingly polished production which is currently airing on YouTube. It's well worth checking out, and to be honest, is probably a million times better than anything Hollywood would do with the licence.

Liking it so far, can't wait for episode 3. Based on the production values, someone out there threw at lot of money on the table to make this happen.

Actually a fan made web series did wonders for the Mortal Kombat franchise movie wise. As result as how popular Mortal Kombat Legacy was they decide to do a full length MK movie based off of that. Same thing could happen to Castlevania.

@Xilef Actually it's a common misconception that money has anything to do with whether fan works are copyright infringing or not. This IS an infringement of copyright, the question is whether Konami cares or not. I think similar statements to the one at the start are used to defend fanart but this isn't some picture on an artist's website this is a whole video series. It will be interesting to see if the creators of Castlevania take notice or not. They could praise it for all I know.
