Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune's next project, King of Pirates, is only confirmed for Japan at the moment, but if Inafune has his way we'll see it leave the Land of the Rising Sun and come to the West.
Speaking to Joystiq, Inafune said that like all his titles, he's aiming King of Pirates for a global release:
For all my titles, I'm looking to do worldwide publishing. I can't say who is publishing because it could be Marvelous directly or maybe they're going to find another publisher in the US. But the plan is to do it worldwide.
Recently publisher Marvelous AQL trademarked King of Pirates in the West, so the signs are looking good so far.

i can't look at that penguin thing without thinking about the penguin from a show called "the backyardagains" that my brother used to watch when he was younger.

still, if they already have a good cg made, there must be something built behind it.

The trailer looks good. If Inafune is at the helm then i have nothing to worry about. Will buy if released in north America.
