Julian Gollop runs through a mission segment

As Ubisoft prepares for the release of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars 3D alongside the 3DS as the handheld launches in North America and Europe this week, the publisher has sent us a handy walkthrough video that details a segment of a mission found later on in the game.

Narrated by Julian Gollop, producer and game designer at Ubisoft Sofia, the video talks us through the turn-based strategy game as objectives are outlined and gameplay is explained. Learn about the different abilities that your squad members possess and the secondary fire of their weapons. Find out how Power Points can be used to launch special attacks on your enemies.

The video does a nice job of showing gamers a glimpse of what to expect without giving too much away, so without further ado, here's the walkthrough video for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars 3D.

Yeah I was really not convinced about this until I read the ONM review a few days ago, I love Fire Emblem, and this game is basically a cross between Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, with a Ghost Recon Flavour!

Anyone who loves turn based strategy games should pick this up eg Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars etc..... The only downside seems to be a lack of online play, but there's still local multiplayer! At least there's something to look forward to in a sequal!

I wish people would stop automatically taking points off of every game that doesn't feature online multiplayer...

The graphics in this game aren't too impressive but the gameplay looks fantastic. This video has sold me on the game. I will definitely be picking this up on launch day.:)

Yeah, I'm pretty much sold on it too. Hot seat multiplayer is perfect since my bro and I are sharing a system for now. :3

This was on my "Maybe" list. Now I just want to see a review of SPLINTER CELL to see which game I pick up on Launch!

I was hoping this would be a bit more like the one MGS on PSP or Company of Heroes. As in taking cover and such, but it still looks good.

@5 Moosa yeah agreed reviewers often take points off for what a game DOESN'T do nowadays instead of how good it actually is. I believe Fire Emblem on the Wii is one of my best gaming experiences, and it scored well but it was stopped getting a better score because it's not original and had no online functions.

So Ghost Recon Shadow Wars is probably worth an extra 10% to those who like the genre and are not fussed about online.
