News Yep, Tantalus Was Also The Developer Of The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
You might remember its work on Twilight Princess HD
It's becoming increasingly common for Nintendo to lend out its IP and call on the services of external studios to help remake and remaster its classic library of games - so it's no surprise to discover that the company's latest release, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, was also handled by...

And it's time to get in some game...

News New RiME Patch Addresses A Multitude Of Sins On Switch
But has it come too late?
When we reviewed RiME a short time ago, we lamented the fact that the Switch port had so many issues. From the muddy visuals to the often appalling frame rate, the Nintendo port was a bit of a mess - something that was hard to swallow after the long wait for the game's release. A patch was promised which would fix many of...
News RiME's Developer Has Been "Working Tirelessly" On A New Patch To Fix The Buggy Switch Port
It's huge too, and might not get cleared by Nintendo as a result
It's fair to say Nintendo Switch has had a mixed bag of ports in the last 10 months - mostly good ones, but the occasional stinker has bound to creep in over time. RiME, the chilled platforming puzzle adventure from Tequila Works, was one such unfortunate example and it seemed like...
Soapbox Celebrating The Second Chance Saloon That Is The Nintendo Switch
Round two’s alright
Cole Phelps is one of the most unlikeable video game protagonists I’ve ever had the pleasure of vaulting over a wall in pursuit of a fleeing perp, or accidentally propelling into the back of a parked Buick while at the wheel of a siren-wailing Nash Super. The leading man of Rockstar’s L.A. Noire, developed by the...

RiME is a secluded, visually stunning adventure arriving on Switch soon. If you managed to miss its original release a few months back on various systems, then that may end up becoming a blessing in disguise. Undocked the game lights up the screen, lending its art-style nicely to the Switch screen. Tequila Works may have...

I'm getting "Wind Waker meets Ico" vibes from this game.
Rime! will be out later this Summer 2017
£29.99 for the game and the CD Soundtrack. Not bad.
COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE on the Switch. DO NOT BUY until a major patch is released to address the abysmal frame rates and stuttering issues. So disappointing, had been looking forward to this game on the Switch for months. The developer released a statement acknowledging frame rate issues in TV mode but claimed the gameplay is fine in handheld mode. This is total BS. Even in handheld mode this is the worst performing Switch game I have seen, by a factor of 10. So bad that after attempting to play it for less than an hour I called Nintendo eShop support and demanded a refund.
Tequila Works, if you are listening, I will gladly re-purchase Rime once you release a patch that remedies the atrocious stuttering and makes the game playable in both TV and handheld mode. In the future, if you can't deliver a game to the Switch platform that performs acceptably in both modes, do us a favor and just don't bother.
@RocketRacoon
Since the patch, this game really rocks. It is amazing. I think the fixed all the bit described above. The patch is 2GB, so they really fixed alot. I would recomended this game, now that you can actually play it post patch!
@topnotchit
Thanks for the heads up, that is good news. I will give it another shot now.
I’ve only played this with the patch so I shudder to think what it like was before. There were still several instances of messed of frames but this game is simply fantastic. I did notice the glitches but the story was so compelling that I looked the other way.
I can confirm that after the patch game is great on Switch! Looks sharp and looks smoothly.
DO NOT get this game on the switch! it is an unplayable stuttering mess! completely ruined the experience for me till I stopped playing it and never went past the first two puzzles
Don't buy! The game continues with a lot of frame drop, even after the "correction" patch.
