Seems pretty clear to me a Wii U port's gonna be a stretch goal, and I didn't really want another Metroidvania, anyway. Would get it on Steam if I was interested and the Wii U goal wasn't met.
Don't get me wrong, I like the existing Metroidvania games, and stuff like Guacamelee, but I'm really yearning for the return of Classicvania.

An emphasis on both speed and exploration? Reminds me of a certain hedgehog I know!
After playing and enjoying Ninja Battle Heroes, I'm glad to see Tom Create put out another gem.

(bursts out laughing) .......Aaahhhhh, I'm sorry, but these are trying way too hard. The Great Fairy one is fine, and Chun Li just looks dorky, but Peach and Samus are very cute.
Peach is like, "Bazookas and trench-coats are manly, and if I become manly, that'll make me equal, right?"
Hey, "Non-sexy" Samus! Try wearing that bulky crap under your Power Suit! You look like you got downgraded to the local S.W.A.T. team.
I'm not trying to be rude, but this "de-feminization" really needs to stop. It's basically saying that women can only be strong if they stop looking like women, and that's incredibly demeaning.

I was holding out for this, knowing that SoR2 was way better than the first.
I'd like it if they put out 3D Classics of Bonanza Bros., Golden Axe, Decap-Attack, Vectorman, Comix Zone, Gain Ground, Toejam & Earl, Kid Chameleon, and Beyond Oasis.

@Haiassai Yeah, I agree that it was actually disappointment on Gaming Historian's part rather than taking offense.
Either way, I still feel like people are generally more sensitive about these kinds of things than they need to be, and we can largely blame our current white-guilt culture for that.
