Topic: What could I get for selling my Wii?

A slap, from me.

Oh well, another one bites the dust.

I just can't imagine selling a Wii and having no regrets when SMG2, Metroid: Other M, and the new Zelda are released.
You really have no interest in playing these games?
I thought the cost of the Wii was justified just for playing SMG, MP3, and TP (actually just for MP3 alone, even).

I certainly understand the desire to get a PS3, as it's very odd to have a big expensive TV and not play any HD games on it.
But selling one console to buy another...? Eh, I would rather just save.

@NEG..... it just depends on the gamers taste. Maybe he has been a Nintendo fan for a long time and a little tired of the franchises and looking for new IPs. He could always sell now and grab the PS3 games he has missed out on, and when money is better grab another Wii on the cheap down the road and then get the games he missed. In the end, he will end up playing more games. Backlog of PS3 titles is now very deep and games are really cheap, in a few years, Wii will be cheap and games as well. It was my plan and its working out great. Im up to about 5 Wii games I will buy already when I get my next one.

@Firkraag: Do you have access to someone elses Wii? You could well suffer pain and anguish when we are all having girly fits over SMG2, OM & Zelda if not. I'm with NEG, it just aint worth it dude. :/

If I were you Firkraag, I would just sell a few of the Wii games you don't play, get a job if you don't have one already (or if you're not old enough to get a job, mow lawns or something) and just save up to get a PS3 alongside your Wii. Like has been pointed out already, a lot of good games are in the pipeline, and you might regret selling it completely. I know you seem pretty set on selling it, but just think about it and make sure it's the right decision before going through with it. If you weren't having doubts or wanting to hear other opinions, you would not have made this thread in the first place.

I got 425$ for it. Not too much, but it funded my PS3.

I'll probably buy a Black Wii in the beginning of next year perhaps when Zelda, Metroid and Galaxy 2 has come out, so a new Wii is not totally out of the question.

I'd say that was a little shy of fair market value, but you got what you wanted - which is, well, what you wanted.
