The April update for this channel that work fine even in slow connections, is completely useless now, the buffer loads slowly and when videos start to play, they'll pause after 30 seconds or so to load more buffer. Delete it or if you haven't updated it, don't do it. We will have to use the Internet Channel to watch the videos from now on as it is very unlikely a fix.

I've had this problem since the update as well. Funny thing is that some videos will play fine, but others are unplayable, and it doesn't seem to correlate with video quality.

Thanks for the warning. I've still got the old version, fortunately, so I'm lucky I saw this before updating. What are supposed to be the advantages of the new version? I was disappointed by the lack of keyboard support in the initial release; I'd rather watch YouTube on a computer than pointer-type everything, so I haven't much used the channel at all. I might be tempted by keyboard support, but not if the update is as bad as it sounds.

I've got nothing to say, but it's OK.

The new version lets you use your Android device to queue up videos for play on your Wii. You have to link your phone to YouTube, but it is pretty easy - you just go to a youtube page and enter a character string. The thing I find helpful about this is not so much the ability to select the next video (although that can be nice), it is the ability to search all of youtube easily. I'm not certain about keyboard support though. I have a logitech keyboard that I sometimes use with my Wii, so if I think about it, I will check when I get home and post an update. I can't promise I'll remember though.

Other than the buffering problem (and it is a big problem on those videos where it happens), the update is actually pretty sweet. I'm not sure why there is the play-ability problem though, NetFlix and Amazon streaming video work great without stuttering over my internet connection, so why wouldn't youtube? If you have a fast internet connection it might be worth it, unless it turns out the issue is something like a cache out of memory on the Wii. My internet is pretty slow (3.0Mbps) BTW.

I checked, and it did not include keyboard support.
