There seem to be a minor interest in these MKW tournaments these days. Hopefully this one will be a blast.
This tornament is only intended for racers from the Nordic countries Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. It will be a team race to see wich country is the best. Results will be posted here.
The first three contestants from each country will build the team core. Additional players will be added secondary if there is room. Optimal would be three players from each country. Will probably not happen. An average score per country will be calculated. It shouldn´t matter much if some country have four players and another have only two.
I will host three race tournaments wich results will be posted here. Should take less than an hour. Between races we have a one minute pause.
Rules 1: No random. Vote for your favorite track. Maybe we don´t have to race Mushroom Gorge, Luigi Curcuit and Shy Guy Beach:-)
2: Try not to vote for tracks already played.
3: Rename your Mii to Name plus Country ID. Example: "Mange - SE". That way you might not get hit by your teammates. Remember.. it´s a team fight but we wont use the team function in MKW. Don´t shoot your fellow countrymen.
When: Tuesday 2009-05-26 20:00 Swedish (GMT+1). Why not on the weekend, well... I have a lot of other things to do on a day off, don´t you?

3: Enter my room in time. Race start at the appointed time.

I wanted to call the tournament Scandinavian tournament but that term apparently doesn´t include finland (or iceland). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia I very much wanted Finland included so therefor I choose Nordic wich on the other hand instead might or might not include Iceland. hrmpf! It is something about Sweden and Finland... In a competition... even if we don´t earn a medal... as long as we win over Finland everybody seem to be pleased.

Thanks. There seems to be more to this than just geo-political boundaries, I may have to speak to some Icelandic people to see if they feel Scandinavian.
