Topic: Do things download faster from the Shop Channel?

Or is it my new internet? (same internet but I moved recently and it seems faster). I recall N64 games taking around 9 min and I downloaded Mario Party today took 20 sec.

Yeah, I moved also recently and I can download a large Wii Ware game in less than a minute. It's your Internet.

You can probably attribute to how many people in your area are using the internet. Things like time of day, where you live and how many customers your IP have in your area affect your download time and speed. If you live in the country and there are several IP that provide internet service and you are downloading a file at 2 in the morning its going to go faster than some in a big city with only one IP downloading something at 2 PM.
