I know that you can hold a maximum of 10.000 Nintendo points on the Wii-shop. But I wondered if they can expire. Most of the time I use up my points pretty quickly. But what if you keep them for a long time? And is it bad to keep a Nintendo points card for a long time before entering the code? I am just curious!
I've got several thousand Wii points just "hanging out" and I slowly use them as things I'm interested in buying become available. This was also my philosphy with my microsoft points for my xbox account. I've learned my lesson though: don't have more points than I intend to spend right now. My MS points got "stolen". I don't think this is possible with the wii points, but I'd rather be safe than sorry now.
