You all saw the E3 Press Conference for Nintendo, right? Weren't you psyched? Well, guess who wasn't? PETER MOLYNEUX. After the press conference on SPIKE, they showed the reactions of that dude from X-Play, a Nintendo-fanboy whose name I don't know, and Peter. All three of them though something was missing. That there weren't any...new games for Wii U.

I thought something was missing too. They didn't annouce a single launch title. And IMO, other than Pikmin, they didn't demonstrate anything with the game pad that looked like it added something irresistable to the games.

All games shown according to Reggie are Launch Tittles, or in the Launch Window (for WiiU). I don't agree with the second part.

Yeah, I just heard Reggie say that in an interview. So why not say it during the presentation? But also, "launch window" can be a loose term. How many are available at launch and how many in the launch window? It sounds like they're rushing the launch just like with the 3DS.

Don't whine. Zelda OOT3D was revealed at E3's roundtable 2010, so I bet that we will hear something about those franchises this week.

I was expecting more, oh well at least we have TGS to see before wii U maybe they'll surprise us before launch, they have another chance at least

Was also disappointed by the lack of Metroid, Star Fox and/or F-Zero. I love me some Mario and Pikmin, and Nintendo Land looked pretty decent, but it really felt like it should have been something more. I think they didn't have something to really sell the Wii U.

Like I said in the other thread, Nintendo isn't done yet. Expect to hear things all week.

There are a lot of good games coming out, Pikmin 3, Mario U, Rayman Legends, but nothing on the same scale as Halo 4 and Last of Us. Where's Retro's new game???

If it wasn't here today, it probably is coming to the 3DS. Tommorow we can hear about it.

While it wasn't Nintendo's worst E3, it wasn't their best, either. I believe it has something to do with the lack of major Nintendo properties like Metroid or Zelda, even though I did enjoy the footage of Pikmin 3 and New Super Mario Bros. U. Plus the new Batman Arkham City and Scribblenauts games looked impressive. Heck, I even got a kick out of Nintendo Land (please don't hate me)! I thought Sing, Just Dance 4, and Wii Fit U made the conference lose its edge, though. Maybe it's because I was spoiled by the sheer amount of awesomeness for the last two E3 conferences, but Nintendo's conference this year felt, for lack of a better word, light.

As many other have said already, it was just the first day! Tomorrow night I'm sure is going to be very juicy, where they skip all the technical stuff and go straight to the game talk! I'm pretty sure we'll see Zelda and Star Fox at some point this week, so everyone just chill for a second will ya!? Sorry, just had to get that out...

Mediocre totaly springs to mind. I'm still not entirely sold on the GamePad at all for genre's where the Wii remote completely shines in.
Where were the big suprises from the big N!? I expected at least some sort of Wii U graphical showcase like a big new 3D Mario, Metroid, just anything. We already KNEW about every game that was shown, aside from Nitendo Land

The Just Dance 4 presentation made me face palm to no end, along with 'Sing' The Wii U fit trailer was gimmicky regarding the gamepads screen controls and didn't really add anything exciting at all, in comparison to what the wii remote can already do...when the guy started playing Wii U fit by himself on the gamepad while his girl friend started to watch TV i almost laughed....Wow what a lack luster innovation!

Pikmin 3 looked great! And I'm glad Miyamoto said that Wii Motion Plus is supported. The Miyamoto pikmin introduction was pretty awesome as well plus that Nintendo Land fireworks footage just before the show ended was magical. ZombiU looked good, and the backgrounds in NSMB Wii U looked fantastic. But sad to say there wasn't anything really exciting going on. when the Wii debuted in full force 5 or so years ago at E3 it was a gaming revolution, totaly mind blowing stuff....Where as the wii u looks completely underwhelming in comparison.

E3 2006 and E3 2010 were the big N's Greatest and most exciting without question. 11 and 12 were both 'meh' imo.

I'm not convinced we will see Zelda, F-Zero etc this week. If you have those in your pocket why the hell would you spend so much time talking about crap like Just Dance, Sing and some Pac man Vs rip off. disappointing!! I mean you never know but I'm not holding out much hope. At least there may be some good 3DS games we don't know about!!

I think we just need some kind of suprise announsment. We already knew about about most of the things (Pikmin 3, Mario), some things were easy to guess (Wii FIt U). I think we neede that big game we didn't know about to make us excited for it.

It's almost as if they didnt plan their presentation for one single person. How could they?! How could they not spend a whole hour only on stuff I wanted to see?!
It's not even like they're going to announce anything else in the next couple of days! We'll just have to judge their whole performance for the next year on a one hour presentation that didnt make my dreams come true!!! (My lack of happiness automatically makes it the worst E3 ever btw).

Honestly though I thought it was alright. They could of had a few more surprises - but I'm looking forward to the upcoming 3DS presentation.
