Topic: Wii U LPCM audio receiver options?

Buying a new receiver for my new Wii U, looking into this one but can't find out if it supports LPCM 5.1 w/ the Wii U seems to require.
Denon AVR - 1513 5.1

I'm only looking to spend $250. Anybody have any experience/expertise I'm all eyes and thanks for the help. (I get the idea that anything w/ HDMI should support LPCM 5.1 but don't feel like being a guinea pig.)

I don't know about Denon but my Yamaha receiver works great!

I'm pretty confident that it does, but you'd be better off going to Best Buy if you want to make sure.
Basically every 5.1 surround sound with HDMI 1.4 and 3D pass-through supports PCM 5.1.
Dolby TrueHD, etc, sound decoders are only used if you have devices that don't support 5.1 PCM.

Those should all have 5.1 PCM. If you don't like it, just return it and get another one. I returned about 3 receivers before I found the one that I ended up with.

EDIT: I recommend a Sony reciever if you can find one. Stay away from the Denon, that's the first one I returned because of HDMI sync problems.
The Sony STR DH720 is a good buy.

Sorry to resurrect the topic but it's better than creating one with the same theme.
Here in Brazil I can not leave the testing HTs available. eventually I bought the LG BH7520TW because rear speakers are wireless. it seems my HT does not support LPCM 5.1! Spent money for nothing. Ok, PS3 works well.
After all, what model you indicate to me that has wireless rear speakers and support lpcm 5.1?
I am very grateful for the tips.

I completely forgot I started this topic I still haven't purchased one but I need to for SM3DW and W101. Had my eye on a couple but have been bus w/ $8000 bathroom remodel which I should finish this week. Maybe Santa will bring me one.

i think these are both old models, might be time to look at the newer ones.

My vote is for pioneer they have never let me down.

My main setup with my Wii U I have the vsx-1123K it's amazing

And still use a vsx-1014tx in my retro game room

The later is almost a decade old and still is amazing.

Only replaced it with the new one because needed HDMI newer sound support and I have a full 7.2 setup
