There are actually quite a few good games from the last couple of years but now they have slowed down to a trickle. Thankfully we have indies aplenty!

Super Mario Maker 2 Levels:

A Frolic through the Forest
M5T-48G-5XF

The Trials of the Haunted House
4VR-6KC-Q1G

Platforming Peril
LCS-S3G-XQG

I own two 3rd party games: Bayonetta 1&2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Director's Cut. Both (or all three, depending how you look at it!) are excellent game. Bayonetta 2 is my favorite game on the console, by a lot. It's probably the best game I've played in the last 2-3 years. It's worth owning a Wii U for, period.

I'm very interested in owning Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate though. It may be a game I get soon.

Wait 2 weeks for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. It has more content and is more designed to help new players learn it's many features

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I was thinking that, but to be honest, I don't play my 3DS nearly as much as I play my Wii U. Playing my 3DS too long hurts my wrist, and Monster Hunter seems like a type of game that I would spend hours playing.

Oh right I forgot this was a Wii U thread, lol. I forgot 3U even had a Wii U version. Sorry

Ha! No it's fine. I know the game is a bit old, but I've never played a MH game, and I play my Wii U more than any thing else, so if I'm gonna get it, it'll probably be that one, unless they announce another console version coming up soon.
