If you have a Wii, you can transfer Wii data (save data, downloads, etc.) to Wii U. You need to download the app on both platforms to do it. Instructions are provided within the app.
Making promise is easy. The hard part is keeping it.

It's a one-way transfer. From Wii to Wii U, not the other way around. Even Wii Points get transferred.
As far as I'm aware, if you do a Wii to Wii U transfer more than once, all the content you transfer stays in Wii Mode. That doesn't apply to save data or Mii characters, which will be overwritten if that data already exists in Wii Mode.
I think that's what you wanted to know? You can do multiple Wii to Wii U transfers, yes.
@BenjaminAran
You can only do it once. Perhaps when/if they allow Wii U to Wii U transers, your Wii data will be able to be transferred between those, but you can't transfer back to the Wii. All your things will be forever on your Wii U.

With this in mind, you can. You could technically buy games on your Wii, then send them every now and then, or send data from multiple Wii systems, and it would accumulate on the Wii U, but I don't get why you would do that.
