Topic: Requiring wii points to update old wii games in wii mode?

What's with requiring wii points to "update" wii games in wii mode. It actually referred me to the wii shop to load points tin order to use online multiplayer on Wii MW3

Yeah. Anything Wii related is done in Wii mode. Why is that surprising? I don't have MW3 for Wii, though, so I can't help you with that game specifically.

Is it supposed to charge you for online multiplayer in that game?

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

I just downloaded the WiiWare Final Fantasy game My Life As A King and it warned me that some additional content cost money to get. I was still able to download the title, though. So unless it's preventing you from downloading the update, the message should only be a warning that the game supports paid DLC.
