lol I guess...the graphics seemed pretty awesome back then. Maybe you're thinking of the graphical textures? Cuz I guess they kinda look blurry sometimes...then again its kinda expected with a game that old. xD

Just less then a week now! I still can't believe after all this time we STILL don't know ANYTHING about this game! Of course that will change soon.

I still need to beat the original 2 for Gamecube, but I'm still looking forward to this newest installment. I only decided to purchase both for the Gamecube within the past couple months since they were Nintendo developed titles I had yet to play and the fact that Pikmin 2 for the Gamecube is becoming something of a collector's item ($40 for a Gamecube game?? Worth every penny in this case!). I've loved what I've played so far and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do next in the series with all of the new hardware of the Wii U and some well polished mechanics. If I remember correctly the game has been in development since 2008 or longer correct, or at least confirmed from that point forward? If so I can very easily see this as a launch title for the Wii U alongside New Super Mario Bros. Mii, which to me at least is enough for me to purchase the Wii U on day one

Can anyone recommend this game to me(Basing of your opinions off the first two games of course)?I`ve never played the original two,so do you think this would be worth my time?Thanks for the replies and feedback!

I hope we see new pikmin, also the return of Louie. I just hope they don't go too crazy and put random colored Pikmin just for the sake of having more pikmin, I also hope that new colored pikimin have some really unique and interesting ways of being used. I hope it's challenging IDK about you guys but I found Pikmin 2 to be hard. I also hope the photorealistic environments of Pikimin 3 are as beautiful as ever or even more beautiful.

Can't wait. The game was amazing on the gamecube, now it's going to be even more amazing on the wiiU.

It has nothing at all to do with textures or characters models, it's just this hazy slight blur effect whenever you're walking around certain areas of the game with the camera zoomed out. Try walking past the Pikmin pods at the start of a level. When you walk past them while they're still in view(with the camera zoomed out a bit) a blurring effect occurs on the Pods. I've played pikmin on my CRT, Plasma and LCD and even though the LCD makes it 2x worse or more, it's 'still' there on my CRT(ahem, crt's have perfect motion handeling. ) It's just an atmospheric other worldy effect 'i guess' nintendo threw down to give the game a distinct trippy & hazy feel.

Oh and I've been hearing the only weak part about Pikmin 2 is the Cave gameplay.
