The Venom I believe was DLC on other systems, but is included in the WiiU version along with a few other cars. So despite being available to race immediately, its not really meant for beginners.
File size when I downloaded was 6.9GB, but there was also an update - don't know how big that was. I started the download at 11am and by the time I came home at 3pm it was done.
