The problem is that non-2D games don't really fit with the "room clear" style that works with the sort of thing NES Remix goes for. Some do but a lot don't. Then there's the remixed stages where you'd have to physically change the game. Much easier when it's a 2D stage where you can make it a silhouette, swap sprites, mirror the game or zoom out.
N64 just seems like more work for something that probably won't work as well.

I like the quaint feel of NES Remix. Making an N64 Remix would be tough, I think it's better for indiezero and Nintendo to just focus on something much more easier to make.
I disagree. Being tough isn't a good enough reason to not do it. I don't think Nintendo or companies working with Nintendo should only do "easy" projects.

Well sure, but it's all about cost vs benefit. If it's a lot more effort and the end product will that much better then cool. However if it's a lot more effort for only a marginally better product then why bother? The 2D remix thing will be much easier than 3D and the games lend themselves to that sort of treatment already.
