I'd want a proper account system. You know, any game you download you can play on any console (at least that can run it), you don't pay a fee to update your Wii Virtual Consoles to use the Game Pad and you can play your games and access your account on any Wii system. Get with the times already.
I probably should have also mentioned (though this really goes without saying): an update to make the Wii U and 3DS talk about be greatly appreciated. One account across both consoles and content sharing across the devices connected to that account.
That's what Sony does, and it's really difficult to settle for anything less.
This, where it means you spend whatever you have in credit on whichever system you want to - maintaining seperate 'wallets' has knobs on it...

Option to turn off the camera for audio only Nintendo Chat... most online buddies you sorta know but you don't know, y'know, and being a lazy bugger, I can't be arsed making myself or my surroundings look nice for "live TV"

Pretty much everything that's been said. I'd like game invites and a real account system to be priority #1. It's really hard to take the system's online capabilities seriously without those things. The unification of accounts on 3DS and Wii U should happen too, as well as game-sharing in regards to retro games. Sony does it, and it's pretty annoying Nintendo doesn't do it either, especially when Nintendo charges way more for games than Sony.
