What do you guys think will be addressed in February's Nintendo Direct? It needs to be related to Wii U news. I personally would love it to be Virtual Console news, but I'm curious to see others opinions about this.

If it is monthly then i think it will have smash bros news and other wii u games news.

I heard a rumor that there will be a Nintendo Direct on the 31st.

I heard Apple is buying Nintendo, and you can now play Nintendo games on iPads, and AngryBirds will be the new Mascot for Nintendo.

It is a decently supported rumor on why it would be smash bros. IT said the direct would be to honor brawl's anniversary in japan.

Eh, as much as I would absolutely LOVE for there to Smash Bros. news this month, I wouldn't hold my breath. It's rather early to be talking about the game considering how early in development it is. But hey, I'm all for surprises. But again, more likely it will be about games closer in the pipeline such as Pikmin 3. Speaking of which, I hope they announce a launch date for it soon.

Oh, and who is this IT that said such things anyway?

Eh...they had plenty of time now...its almost been like, what, a year since Uprising came out? lol

Hopefully something else. After "Pokemen Direct" it would be nice to have a bit more Wii U excitement.

Nintendo Directs that focus on general Nintendo announcements comes in what looks like a bimonthly basis. So it would make sense that a Nintendo Direct would stream next month.

While I can't wait for Pikmin 3 and would love a release date, I'm really hoping the next direct isn't just a meager release date and maybe a little new info on games we already know are coming. I want to hear some concrete news on how the VC for Wii U is going, or maybe the announcement and some teaser screenshots or video on some grand HD first party game.

True, Sakurai did say they already have a prototype. And I can imagine that the extra help from Namco-Bandi's team has sped things up considerably. Undoubtedly the game will be showcased sometime soon (at the latest E3), but I just can't see Nintendo announcing anything about it this early in the year, but of course I could be wrong. Heck, it'd be nice to know what it will be called at least...

Whenever they do show the next Nintendo Direct, I want to know more about Game & Wario. It was slated for a launch window release last year, which meant that it was supposed to be released by the end of March, but at this point it's looking unlikely. I want an exact release date as well as more general information about the game.

As far as Smash Bros. goes, I remember that January 31 rumor as well, but I'm also skeptical about any information being leaked so soon. We likely won't hear anything about it until E3, especially since Sakurai wants to be secretive this time.

I suspect that at least one upcoming Nintendo Direct will be about Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. After all, it's one of the most anticipated 3DS titles, is coming in March and could easily have a full presentation about it (maybe talking about the multiplayer and Nintendo Network options?)

What we really need is more info on The Wonderful 101. Only 1 level is known to exist since E3 2012, I even played it, and it was awesome.
