I suspect the fourth character in the game is being kept secret for a reason. Possibly because they're someone Retro doesn't want people to know about early on.
It's why I partly think someone unlikely like King K Rool (as playable), Kiddy Kong (perhaps slightly redesigned) or some other crazy possibility are true.
Why would they get rid of a character?
Maybe 4th character is some boost mode esque kong. After all, the Gamepad wasn't available to use at the Best Buy demo.
