For some strange reason i really want to be able to play wii and wii u games ON my Wii U (when i buy one tomorrow) using the classic controller http://www.jjgames.com/product/10696?utm_source=google-produc... mainly because its the classic and i like the feel of it.
What do i need to use this controller on the wii u?i seen something about it having to be plugged into something. Does anyone else here prefer this with some games like mario maybe?
You just have to plug it into the Wii Remote. It's not compatible with as many U games as the Pro controller though, so I'd probably just go with the Pro.
No, but you can use the Wiimote and Nunchuck, which I like (Let your arms rest, for a change from other controllers), or the classic controller.
Basically, the Pro is a U controller (Compatible with most non-gamepad games), won't work with Wii games, but the classic is a Wii controller that's compatible with a good amount of non-motion controlled Wii games and a handful of U games.
Any Wii peripheral that you plug into the Wiimote (Nunchuck, Classic Controller Pro, etc) will work for Wii games played on the Wii U. Just be sure that you check the case of the Wii game to see what the compatible control methods are.
Xenoblade, for example, uses the Wiimote + Nunchuk, Classic Controller, or Classic Controller Pro.
Skyward Sword is compatible only with the Wiimote + Nunchuk.
Metroid: Other M is compatible only with the Wiimote alone.
