This was the first game I ever beat, but since I was pretty little I specifically remember being terrified by eely-mouth. Ugh. Those teeth man, they haunted my dreams.
The rigidity of absolute justice or the flexibility of moral values? I'd choose moral values, but then again, I'm not rubber so I'm probably not flexible enough for it.
I'm right now playing this game which I haven't done for a loooong time. And it feels so good to play it again despite the game being frustrating. Also, I love the story and the concept of this game, the game also reminds me of how we're treating our own earth with polluting etc etc. Sadly there's no Mario or FLUDD to save our planet...
I "sold" my copy to my sister years ago; I was pretty much done with the game after beating Corona Mountain. Helping my sister with some shines makes me remember why I don't have the fondest of memories with this game... especially since I have to do all the Fluddless sections T_T
I picked this up right around when I got married and just never had much time to play it. I think I beat a few levels and then most of my video games were packed up. It wasn't until years later that I started playing my Famicom Disk System that I became interested in games again. I need to dust this one off and complete it.
The backflip being rediculously hard, as well as the occasional camera difficulties in the worst possible areas (especially with Yoshi) were really the only things holding this one back for me. They really do make it aggrivating. Not to mention the parts without FLUDD nearly give me heart attck every time. I love this game, definitely up there with Super Mario 64, and easily one of the best Mario games around...but I will probably never complete it because of a few unnecessarily frustrating moments that can really bring the house down whenever they show up.

I am familiar with that feeling. There really were some really frustrating moments in Mario Sunshine!
I wish they released this on the VC. Gave my gamecube to my brother with all my games including this one.
I remember the final boss, I lost so many times before I defeated him... Still, would love to give it a try again.

Ow, that's too unfortunate. This is why I'll never give away my GameCube (and defeniatly not my N64) to anyone!
