Yay I got Terra and Gau into my party now! I never would've guessed there was another secret passage in the second house. Unfortunately Shadow died in my game because it turns out I didn't wait for him on the floating continent.

Now I just gotta get Locke back. I also fought the yeti in his cave at Narshe. Isn't there a way to get him into your party?

You need Mog in your party. Go down where you fought the Yeti, Mog will yell at him at he'll walk to your airship if you have no room in your current party.

kidcoyote_anarchy

Also don't forget you can get Gogo on Triangle Island in the upper right hand corner of the map. Just let the Zoneeater suck in your whole party.

Bassman_Q

Whew just got Locke and Gogo in my party! Now I just need to find Mog...

And BTW Gogo is BEAST!

Mog is where you first met him at Narsce the beginning of the game when Locke was rescuing Terra and you had to do the that split party scenario with all those moogles. You were also there when the game split into three scenarios, in Terra/Edgar scenario. When you see Mog he's fiddling with something in the wall. There is an item there that will make the rest of the game easier (I don't use it since it's kind of cheating) once you get Mog you can go get Umaro (Yeti) by how I mentioned above. Remember just because you got all your party doesn't mean it's time for the Kefka's Tower. You still have some esper hunting to do. And yes Gogo is a beast since he can mimic your entire party. Also if you give him the Magic command he can use all the combined magic the three other party members have learned.

Bassman_Q

OK I'll go back to Narshe then. I can't believe I missed Mog! I remember going into that room you just described where he's supposed to be, then going back out, deciding I'd better find that Esper.

Let me think, there is a lot you still have to do so I'm going give you a little checklist. Some give you espers some are just extra storyline. I don't know what you did in the World Of Balance (before floating continent) so here's some things you might want to do before heading to Kefka's Tower:

-Head north of Nikeah (town where you first run into Edgar in World Of Ruin) there is a little outcrop of trees shape like an X there is a house their bring Sabin to get a scene.

-Bring Gau to the lone house north of Doma (Cyan's Castle Nightmare) bring Sabin too for extra dialogue.

-Go to Tzen (where you get Sabin in WOR) there is a guy selling an esper in the upper righthand corner of the town behind the houses.

-Go to Figaro Castle and move the castle from Kothligan to S. Figaro it'll get stuck, the castle operator with ask you if you want to look around say yes and go to the jail cell where you broke into the castle to get Edgar in WOR. There is one of the 8 dragons down there and an esper, bring Terra for extra dialogue.

-Fight Deathgaze. He's flying somewhere around the map somewhere you'll randomly run into him if you haven't already. I usually just move horizontally from an upper corner all the way down to the lower corners. You'll get an esper if you beat him.
-Go to the Auction house in Jidoor there are two espers for auction there. If you don't get it the first time just walk out and walk back in and it'll reset you might have to try a few times to get them to show up. While your there there is an esper on the bookshelf in the art house where you found Relm if you didn't grab it already.

-There is one of the 8 dragons in the Opera House, do the Impresario a favor and take him out.

-There is also a dragon in Zozo Cave (where you found Cyan) if you haven't fought him already.

-Go to Thamasa (bottom righthand corner of the map) bring Relm & Strago to trigger a side quest to get Strago's ultimate lore.

-Go back to the Cid's island (Island where Celes woke up in at the beginning of the WOR) there is a esper on the beach where you gathered the fish.

-If you think you have learned enough magic take your top magic users to the Fanatic's Tower (where you got Strago) You can't use physical attacks in this tower (this does not apply to Umaro though since he's a beserker)

-Bring Locke to Narshe have him unlock the house in the upper left hand corner of the town there should be a guy asleep in bed he'll give you the Cursed Shield. Then unlock the weapon shop, go in the back and the shop owner will give you an esper. While your here I think I might have solved your Mog problem. If you didn't get him in the WOB he might be somewhere else (I don't know I've never got him in the WOR) but I think if you go to the treasure house south of Arvis's house (where you started with Terra at beginning of the game) the wolf (I forget his name) will be trying to steal the treasure in the locked box follow him and when you catch up to him you'll have to choose between Mog or the treasure. This opens up another sidequest in getting all of Mog's dances. Just get into a random battle on different terrain i.e. desert, forest, city (zozo), etc. But I don't think you can get the water dance in the WOR.

-Finally if your playing the GBA version there are 3 more espers to get but if you're not playing that version don't worry about it.

Now you should be ready to tackle Kefka's tower.

Gee thanx, kidcoyote_anarchy! I'll try that. And BTW I've beaten 4 of the dragons so far: Earth (Opera House), Fire (In the volcano where Locke is found), Ice (In Narshe after beating Valigarmanda), and Silver (The one in Zozo Mountain).

The last two dragons are in Kefka's tower so you should have 6 beaten before heading in there. You still have the Holy Dragon (Fanatic's Tower) and Blue Dragon (Underground Figaro) to go. I'm guessing you are playing the GBA version since you referred to the esper in Narshe as Valigarmanda because in the original SNES version his name is Tritoch. The GBA version of IV-V-VI retranslated alot (SNES versions had limited character space). I think the PSX version, Final Fantasy Anthology (FFV&VI compilation) is just a straight port of the SNES versions with added CGI cut-scenes. I've only played the SNES & GBA versions of IV, V, & VI so I'm not for sure. If you are playing the GBA version once you finish my checklist I'll tell you how to get those extra espers.

Yeah I'm playing the GBA version cuz that's like my favorite Nintendo system!

I finally have everyone I can possibly get in my party now and did the Strago sidequest and learned the Ultimate Delta.

But I don't really understand that thing u said about a house in Nikeah?

Look at your map. Go to Nikeah with your airship and fly straight north across the water. Look for the landmark I describe, land your airship, walk into the clearing and you should come to a single house. Bring Sabin and he'll learn his ultimate blitz! But if you're at a high enough level he'll learn it anyways but your playing the game for the story right? So you might want to see the little cut-scene. I'm kinda getting re-familiar with this game since helping you. It's been awhile since I played this since I have been preoccupied with other great SNES/GBA rpgs.

I just thought of something else if you haven't done it yet. When you go to Figaro Castle have Sabin and Edgar in your party for an extra scene. Sleep in the bedroom to trigger it.

I've been down underground Figaro and got the esper but I looked everywhere and couldn't find the Blue Dragon.

As for the Cultist's Tower, what tips do you think would help me? I tried it first time, ran into Lvl. 90 magic and got killed. I then tried with Mog's Molulu charm, beat the Holy Dragon, but got my @$$ served on a steampunk-ish plate when the Magic Master used Ultima on my team right before he died.

That's so funny! I had to calm down from laughing so hard. Could be worse I got killed on my way down from the tower by those Lv. 90 magics during my first playthrough after finally beating the Mage Master after losing to him 10x in a row (maybe not that many) made me so mad I quit playing for a couple of days. I would have warned you but that would have spoiled the experience. I didn't and still don't use the Moogle Charm just because I don't want my characters to miss opportunity to learn more magic and I hate level grinding. So here's how you beat the Mage Master you have to cast reraise (learned from Phoenix esper) on at least one party member, might as well get it on all of them, before he lets loose Ultima since it's his final attack after you kill him. If you want to get out of the tower alive though use the Moogle Charm since you can't use the Warp spell to get out (I think, I could be wrong)

As for the Blue Dragon there's a secret passage in Odin's castle (underground Figaro)! Go into the throne room and from the throne on the right go five steps down and there is a hidden switch (press A or B I don't remember what button it is on the GBA). In the room on the right there is a staircase that wasn't there before. If you can't find the hidden switch try a step below where you tried. The button is directly below the throne on the right so just start at step one and work your way down you should find it.

After beating the Blue Dragon there is a stone statue of the queen. If you walk up to her you can change Odin into Raiden. Odin teaches the Meteor spell which can be learned from the esper Crusader (you'll get him once you defeat all 8 dragons) or you can get Raiden which teaches Quick which can be also learned from one of the new espers. So the choice is yours. When you summon Raiden or Odin it does the same thing so it doesn't matter in that respect. The quick spell lets your character have two turns per round.

A couple little notes if you did go into the room I mentioned above alreadly that sparkle you saw in the bookcase if you had Terra in your party you would get extra dialogue. Also bring Strago since you can learn some Lores from the Blue Dragon fight. Most of them are useless but you might want to get them for completion's sake.

Still laughing about the Mage Master fight because it is so cheap since your possible max hp is 9999 so even if you're at level 99 he'll still kills you with Ultima no matter what!

Another tip for the Fanatic's Tower all the undead enemies can be killed instantly with a life spell and most of the others are weak to the rasp spell. And run from the Lv. 90s they're not worth fighting. If you haven't learned Reraise yet now is the time to equip Phoenix on a character. The enemies drop a lot of magic points so learning it will take 10 or so random battles. I made this mistake during my first playthrough and my only save was in the tower, so just run around the save point getting into random battles until somebody learns it, save every once in while so if you run into you know who and die you don't have to start grinding all over. By the way if you want to grind for magic points later before heading into Kefka's Tower this is good place to do it , you don't get experience points though so this place isn't worth it for that.

You can also beat the Magimaster by having someone do a jump attack and killing him while that person is still in the air (or alternatively, use the summon that makes the entire team jump, and hope the final team member's landing isn't the one to kill him)

I beat the Magic Master this time (while using the Molulu charm), and beat all 6 dragons so far. I'm wondering how you beat Leviathan, the monster u encounter while on the boat from S. Figaro, though. Even when I use Terra and ReRaise, all my characters die.

Oh and what at level would u recommend me going into Kefka's Tower? (I wanna finish this game asap before I buy FFVII on my new PSP )

I think the recommended level is 60 but its been a long time since I played when I played it I leveled up to 99 just for laughs.

What are your levels? Anyways, this game is easy enough that just going through all the story stuff and side quests you should be at a high enough level. Especially since all the back tracking you've done, if anything, your probably over leveled. I've beat this game at levels between 45-50 and I beat Kefka with my weakest characters!

As for Leviathan you want to beat him the hard way just have four characters learn quick, and use it to get double hits on him, and he's weak to thunder attacks. The easy way is to have Locke steal reed cloaks and tortoise shields since they absorb water elemental attacks. These can be stolen from enemies in the forest west of Maranda. Geckorex (name of the snes version) have Tortoise Shields, though they do drop them if you beat them regularly. They're the lizard things with 6 legs that stone your party members.

Since your reaching end-game I'll tell you how to get the other new espers. First since your near Maranda to get Tortoise shells talk to first guy you see in town. You must do this to trigger the event. He'll tell you about little creatures he was hunting he the desert. Go to the desert south of Miranda and hunt for Cactuars. These guys have high evade, so use Cyan's dispatch (Swordtech 1), equip Setzer with dice, or use ultima, since they all ignore evade. Kill 10 and your 10th battle will be a Giant Cactaur! This guy is harder than even Kefka. Use the same strategy with Magemaster. Also you can win dragoon boots and dragon horns from the arena (I think one of the towns sells them as well I'm not sure which one though) Just make sure one person is alive to win this battle. This place is best for grinding since Cactuars drop 10,000 gil and 10 Magic Points. Hoovers drop 5,000 gil, 5 Magic Points, and tons of experience. Hoovers and Cactuars are both weak to ice elemental. Dragon Boots give you the jump command and dragon horns let you use a multiple attack when you jump.

You need to grind to get the last esper since you need at least 500,000 gil! After you get the gil go to Jidoor's auction house, talk to the new guy who wasn't there before to trigger the new scene. He will say there is an awesome sword for auction. Go into the auction house and bid on the item Excalipoor. If you don't get just step in and out like you did with the espers you got earlier. Now that you got the Excalipoor go to the arena (north of Kohlingen on the map) bet the Excalipoor and get into a fight with an old friend from FFV! Use the same strategy as the Giant Cactuar fight.

The final new esper you can't get tell after you beat the game. Reload your save file, and go to the dragon's den which is on a small island off the west coast by the arena.
