I got one in 2000 and got rid of it in 2005 or 06 (stupid me). Shenmue,Grandia 2, PSO were great games and there is many others. If you get one I hope you enjoy it ! But be warned some games like Slave Zero really blow.
I got it my senior year of high school and man I played the hell out of it. There was this game called Maken that was later ported to the PS2. It was fun for the time. None of my friends would play the DC as they was still obsessed with the PS1 (prior to the ps2 launch). Shame all that had to do was pick up a controller and they would of seen it was a good system.
9-9-99 was the greatest release date of all time. I remember it clearly! Sad that Sega threw in the towel so quickly.
EXPERIENCE MORE.... Arcade-quality graphics, awesome sound, "turbo-charged" game play, exciting TurboChip games... It's the incredible Turbo Genesis 64 Entertainment SuperSystem Experience. There's more fun, more challenge, and more excitment ready for you today!
sega threw in the towel very soon after ps2 came out. anyway I was able to get one pretty cheap (under $50) off ebay with 2 controllers, a vmu, and sonic adventure 2. great system and since it readily accepts burned games I've been able to fully explore its library of great games.
I'm still playing phantasy star online to this day,
Happy birthday Dreamcast! cheers.
There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore
I played it since the release on Dreamcast, then I switched over to Blue Burst and now I play on Schthack.

My dreamcast got lost in a fire. I still have all my games for it though. I just can't seem to let go of them. If i find a good deal on a Dreamcast i"ll pick one up.
