I'd say it's unlikely, but you never know. I've got the feeling a VC release would be more practical. Blizzard has Diablo III, Starcraft 2 and WOW eating most of its time.

So did Lost Vikings, another game I'd like to see on VC. As well as Lost Vikings II, another game I rented once on SNES and then kinda forgot. (I have it, but the control was kinda odd. I died so many times from R functioning as both a separate button and a shift key.)
Blackthorne was one of my favorite SNES games. I spent a lot of weekends playing that game. I would love to see a VC release. It is easily worth the 800 points. I remember comic book artist Jim Lee did the artwork on the box art and that was my main reason I wanted it lol. I think I was 13 at the time when I got it.
