What is actually happening is a push from advertisers. Advertisers don't want to pay money just to see their ad next to questionable content. Whether you agree with the advertisers doing that or not it's just the way things work.
And yet they didn't mind until recently.
I think if you do a little digging, it's quite clear that it wasn't a push from advertisers at all. It was a push from media companies to try and demonetize their competitors, through blackmailing advertisers.
A sort-of confusing title leading to a post stating a two-sentence opinion stated as a fact without so much as a link to the proper context to give readers even a chance of understanding where the poster is coming from.

I was going to say "a Pianofreak thread", but overall, I want to just...put all of the blatant condecension in this thread into a bottle and sell it as a form of artificial lubricant. It's safe for the environment and 100% recycleable!
