@WaveBoy: Curious, what do you think of Sunset Overdrive? Forget Street Fighter that was so last gen, its all about Killer Instinct.

Your original response was pretty childish all told so, your 'reasons' are no better.

You have obviously just got yourself a Xbox One and feel the need to 'defend' it, for whatever purpose. Just enjoy what you have got without resorting to silly kindergarten/play school bickering.

The Xbox One has a couple of "remasters" of its own BTW, and the controller has some well known issues of its own too. While the download speeds may well be slow(er) on the PlayStation 4, the installation method is ten times better and swifter than the Xbox One.

Logical reasons are the best kind of ones for these discussions, not petty playground arguments.

I apologize, I'm sorry I was so uncivilized. The PS4 is superior in everything it does. How dare I mention its flaws. My "childish" comment was totally uncalled for.

@Ryno: Sunset riders reminds me of Jet set/grind Radio... and for me that's not a good thing. I don't really care for it.
But yeah, I would pick up Killer instinct....heck, I'd even take on Gears of War 4 and the new Halo. Never thought I'd say that!
BTW, PS4's got Guilty Gear Xrd Sign.

Ah who am I kidding, I could easily do without it.
BTW what did you think of The Last of Us on PS3......I'm just not a believer.

@Waveboy: Sunset Riders the 16-bit western shooter from Konami is coming out for the Xbox One? Awesome Just playing... I know you meant Sunset Overdrive. But I would take a Sunset Riders reboot any day of the week. I never got the Last of Us on PS3. I don't know, something about it that just never excited me.

I don't know about you, but I'd take Rare Replay over any of the PS4's exclusives, yes...even Street Fighter V, Shenmue III and Final Fantasy VII. Forget that 'Last of Us' Interactive movie tripe. I'd rather IT be a movie than an actual game, it looks absolutely boring and incredibly linear. Maybe I'm wrong, and I WILL get around to playing it some day on the PS4(Not buying it tough), but it just doesn't look like it's my forte.

It sits somewhere right in the middle for me. I don't care about Street Fighter V, Shenmue 3, or The Last of Us, but I really like Bloodborne, want No Man's Sky, and there's pretty much no game I'd give up Final Fantasy VII for. Except perhaps Zero Escape 3. Thank god I don't have to make that horrible decision.

No need for the sarcasm; you knew what you trying to do after all.

Keep convincing yourself that Street Fighter V is going to be irrelevant compared to Killer Instinct though ... says nobody, ever.

Both consoles have their pros and cons however, in light of the OP question, it is just a better all round choice, especially for both the ever growing indie scene and those third party games that almost always runs better and makes the most of our (1080p) televisions.

The occasional audible fan noise and the hit-and-miss wireless connection are two of my main complaints, hardware wise.

Do you normally assume people's intentions or did those comments about the PS4 really strike a nerve?

I'd be pretty concerned if something regarding video games manages to strike a nerve.

I just thought your original comments on the previous page were pretty daft, mostly untrue (and contradicting, seeing as the Xbox One shares some of the very same problems) and had a hint of somebody who has an Xbox One and wanted to justify/validate their choice/decision in buying it by stating negative perceptions of a console you do not even own, or perhaps haven't even seen nor played in person.

Like I originally said - and was probably all that needed to be said - just enjoy what you have got without resorting to silly bickering.

Back onto the topic in question; it is because the market leader is the better choice (hardware wise) and was launched at a respectable price that is still the same to this very day.

My, my, my, aren’t we the condescending one? For your information, I researched and played both systems before I recently settled on the Xbox One.

Mostly untrue???

Shoddy network: PlayStation Network is down for the third time since Friday

Slow Download speeds: Sony Investigating Slow PS4 Download Speeds - I recommend reading the comments on this page.

Cheaply made controllers: Plenty of comments from Neogaf members here to back this up: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1044325

  • Sure, the Xbox One controller had bumper complaints and originally lacked a headphone jack but Microsoft acknowledged that and has produced a revision.

Fan noise: New PS4 hardware is more efficient with less fan noise & Hair dryer level PS4 systems?

Paying for backwards compatibility (PS Now and or "remasters"): PlayStation Now's All-Access Service Costs $20 Per Month

@Ryno: I find it odd that you seem to believe that your original comments 'really strike a nerve' when you only have to look at your latest message to see why it's ironic.

I already mentioned that both systems has their pros and cons and that my main complaints with the PlayStation 4 is the slightly iffy wireless connection and the audible fan noise from time to time, yet you decided to go out of your way to show this when I had already acknowledged it in the first place!

I've tried to get this thread back on topic twice now so, I shall say no more other than just enjoy what you have got, which I have repeated three unnecessary times now.

@Peek-a-boo: The comments did really strike a nerve with you and that is why you continue to summon me. There's no irony in my previous comments, only a response to your claim that my comments were "mostly untrue" which is borderline calling someone a liar. I will not sit idly by while you pretentiously make this statement all the while claiming to save this thread by getting it "back on topic" as if the people around here can't just choose to ignore my comment and discuss the topic at their own leisure. Indeed, it has been unnecessary to state "enjoy what you have got" because one can still enjoy what one has and participate on Internet forums discussing things they don't have.

If that isn't sh*t stirring, then I don't know what is.

You keep ignoring my acknowledgements of my own personal issues with the PlayStation 4, yet you decided to scout out across the web to find out examples when I had already acknowledged them in the very first place!

Your comments in no way striked a nerve with me. What strikes a nerve with me is my friends sister being killed in the recent terrorist attack in Tunisia, so please bugger off with your 'I must have striked a nerve' nonsense. It is just flipping computer games you silly sod.

Go and enjoy your Xbox One without resorting to those kind of needless posts I demonstrated (of yours) above.

@waveboy: It's cool man. I understand how confusing it could be. If I were to make a game I would make SunsetTropics based off of StarTropics since Nintendo has forget that game exists anyway. When you play TLOU, make sure to hook your CRT TV to twitch because that will be some seriously Must Sea Waveboy TV.

@EdJericho: A couple of comments. I realize the relevance regarding Street Fighter and the upcoming Street Fighter V. I was specifically messing around with my bud @Waveboy for that particular comment. Regarding backward compatibility I should maybe mention that I have a PS3 with PS2 & PS1 backwards compatibility in addition to some PS2 and PS1 games that I have purchased from the store. Wii U plays previous generation games and the Xbox One will play (some) previous generation game. As for the PS4, and thus my main focus of the original comment, if you want to play previous generation games your only option is to pay to stream them or buy a remastered version. As for the freaking out thing, I don't really see that as a "complaint," I do however find some of reactions to be very silly.

@WaveBoy: ha! No problem. But definitely stick to Survivor or Grounded modes. Grounded especially can be legitimately challenging at times, and it forces you to take the game more slowly and strategically, minimizing the "interactive movie" feel that a lot of those games can have if you just breeze through on low difficulties from cutscene to cutscene. I'm VERY close to the platinum trophy... I just have to wrap up my 4th playthrough haha

And Dead Space One is absolutely incredible, and definitely NOT in danger of feeling like an interactive movie, even on the lower difficulties. I played through it a few years ago on PC (with keyboard and mouse - ah!) when it was dirt cheap on Steam, and it was another recent gaming experience that ALMOST felt like the old days.

Almost. lol
