Before the last gen I'd have put Nintendo as the easy no. 1 but since the PS2 days I've felt Sony has done a great job on the first/second party front and this gen I've actually enjoyed its games a lot more than Nintendo's. MS obviously ranks behind the other two, Halo is my franchise but even that is one that MS fluked into. Other than that, MS really doesn't do anything besides shell out for third party timed-exclusive DLC.

The Witcher 2
Seriously guys, that game alone justifies the existence of the Xbox 360.

Since I don't game on PC (which is something I really should consider doing in the future) I did buy the game for 360. Great stuff actually, can't wait for The Witcher 3.

Ditto. I really can't be bothered getting into PC gaming, so I really love that I can play the best darned PC RPG since Planescape on my Xbox.

The Witcher 3 coming to PS4 makes me happy.
I really hope since they're probably going with bluray again that we can maybe get copies of the original Witcher and Witcher 2 for PS4 as well. I'd love to have the whole collection.
I like Nintendo, and have a 360 but it lies, unused.
Nintendo is a better publisher/developer than MS but honestly I don't see how anybody could own a 360 and have it go unused unless you have a PS3 or good gaming PC as well. If not, I have a hard time believing somebody can't find something worth while on 360, it's got a vastly superior library than the Wii.
All I got to say, is that 3DS and Wii U were the first game systems I was able to get my hands on that are going to be used for the course of the next several years or so.
I understand that all the consoles have their audiences, but I just like how Nintendo manages their gaming the most. I'm completely satisfied with what I have right now for my gaming wants/needs, and my Sony receiver and speaker set will serve great purpose for use on my Wii U, and the other consoles if they have features and stuff that I want. It just seems unlikely that I'll get anything else, because stuffs expensive as it is, and alot of my money has gone to Nintendo already since they were first out of the gate.
I apologize if I come off as hating PS. I just like Nintendo's games and innovations most. It's just annoying/tiring to hear the same arguments every gaming generation against any company from the audience they obviously aren't attracting. They have their plans and strategies. All we can do is see what happens and choose what suits us most. Whatever happens, happens.

Now you've got me laughing.

Hey guys, I know that certain users make statements that don't always follow through, but could you not gang up on said user? This doesn't seem like a worthwhile argument where logic and reasoning are going to do a whole lot of good. Discussion is good, but when it devolves into arguments that get nowhere, what's the point?
Anyways, to answer @Jaz007's original question, I prefer Nintendo because I enjoy the products they make. The other companies make fascinating things as well, but none of them appeal to me the same way Nintendo does.

We already moved on from that discussion so, please, let it go and stop acting like moderator.
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
To be fair, there will always be ignorant users on the internet. Just ignore them. If you like a company, then like them. No one is forcing or asking you to defend them until the infidels perish.

I'll chime in on this one, although it's probably not surprising what my opinions are.
If Sega were still making hardware, it would be Sega at the top. No question. The Dreamcast and Megadrive are two of my favourite consoles, without a doubt.
1. Microsoft - I wasn't so much a fan of the original Xbox, but the 360 really hooked me into their way of thinking. Massive software library, Netflix, LoveFilm, Kinect Sports, downloads that run as fast as my connection will allow...flawless multiplayer gaming (generally.) I'm a bit of a Gamerscore nerd as well, if I'm totally honest, and Xbox Live Arcade has some fantastic bargains on it - more so than PSN, in my opinion.
2. Nintendo - Always a huge fan of the NES, and the SNES is probably the greatest console ever made. Wii was good, as were the GBA, DS and 3DS, but I'm not so convinced by Wii U yet. I have one, and a bunch of titles for it, but there just isn't anything that I really want to play on it past that initial launch run. Things will pick up - but I think the console as a whole was a somewhat misguided choice. I really dislike the fact that the company seems to be addicted to just rehashing new versions of its old games, too. Every single generation...look, new Mario! Look, old Zelda! Sigh.
3. Sony - PSOne, great. PS2, great. PS3 - Not AS great. Uncharted, LBP, MotorStorm, Heavy Rain...all great. Beyond and The Last of Us are day one purchases for me. I just dislike the fact that their network is absolutely horrendous, and that if I don't play a game for a week, I'm told that I have to download a patch...which takes ages longer than it should. Wipeout HD is still all kinds of awesome, though.
