@Zenman: Well, don't worry about it, I'm always backtracking in HL2,to grab health or a little bit of ammo, I'm obsessed with being maxed out, cos them guards can tear you to shreds if you get something wrong. Lack of a quick-save must suck. Is it checkpoint based or can you save whenever?

@ Machu the game autosaves at 'key' areas, so i just beat the cursed hunter chopper with my lil boat (which kept killing me) and the game autosaved, but nothing like the many autosaves a bethesda game seems to make...

I love that bit! Hope you find the patience to see it through.

some good games and steam service can be good for cheaper games and indie games. however, only a few were really valve developed games. counter strike started as a mod and so did team fortress. Really mainly half life games and left 4 dead that were completely valve games

Yeah, but the creators of Team Fortress, Portal, Counter Strike etc. now work for Valve, so Valve, technically, made those games.

As for their preference of Microsoft, I think it has something to do with that their founder and co-founder used to work for Microsoft and created Half Life because they were bored. I'd agree that if they supported the PS3 or even the Wii it would, indeed, be awesome. (The only Valve related thing on Wii is Still Alive on Rock Band.) Still, Valve has always been more of the ultimate PC FPS company. Really, if you're playing Valve games on anything but a computer, you're doin' it wrong.

I'm sorry, J Bittes, whenever I think of Konami I think of Rock Revolution. shudder

Someone found Half Life tedius and annoying? Which one? I've only played 2 and Episode 1. I didn't finish Episode 1 due to lack of interest, it was kinda half life overkill, but 2 was great.

Well...that's obviously ignorant since they're the house built on Gradius, Castlevania, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Pro Evolution Soccer (Winning Eleven), the TMNT arcade games but you keep being reminded by one game and not acknowledge the amazing series they've produced...oh I forgot...Contra too...yep, Konami is all crap!

Yeah...maybe I should shut up now.
