This has been on my mind recently. Please not that none of this is confirmed, just a thought exercise.

There have been quite a few games that have made the jump from the iPhone to DSiWare and PSP minis. All with varying results on quality of course.

I don't own an iPhone currently and I don't intend to get one at any point in the future, but I was curious what other NLifers thought about games being ported in the other direction from DSiWare to iPhone. How would you feel, regardless of whether you own an iPhone or not about upcoming 3rd party DSiWare games such as Shantae: RR getting ported to iPhone? What would you feel if they were released on there first or if they were changed to iPhone development and cancelled for DSi?

For reference, I've did some quick searching around the internet for install base, you should assume there will be a percentage of either that will not use the platform for digital gaming.

16.88 million DSi/XL models sold worldwide
87.98 million iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch sold worldwide

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

Anything cancelled from DSi to iPhone would be crazy on the part of the developer IMO. You can create a much more acurate game on DSi but with that being said game making the jump from iPhone (wich isnt the only phones with the games anymore as I have the Droid wich is daily getting iPhone Apps) to DSiWare brings the games to a wider audience and sometimes a better experience as seen with Asphault, BUT with THAT being said you find the prices they want for their games on a gaming system to be much Higher. So many downsides to this little phone vs gaming system ordeal we have here.
