Topic: Sonic the Hedgehog

I was arleady expecting in a Nintendo site, Anti-Sonics stuck in 90s... Mario & Sonic are friends now
I love Sonic, SMS Sonic 1 was my first video-game.
Some people compain about the stupiedest things about the new games, they blame the cast of characters or the story.
When the real problem it's the gameplay, the design of stages and the overexploiting the characters personalitly.
They need to think about everyone, not only children <- THIS is their primary problem, belive me.
Change the cast of voice actors to professionals it's the first step, or don't have voices at all but that would be an bit unfair for children...
Design, Sonic team is almost there, the day stages of unleashed are almost perfect just need more alternative paths, less rails, an more
different enemies that actually wants to destroy Sonic.

The characters, they are good like they are, just a little work on them, stop making Sonic cocky, Cool guys don't need to say that their cool, he's cool for saving animals and friends. Like Mario is cool stomping goombas and save the Mushroom Kingdom. Tails is actually fine, maybe making less of an sidekick and more of "best friend". Amy for example less violent and a bit less fanatic.
In case of Dr. Ivo, make him more evil and someone that actually wants to destroy sonic and conquer the world, but without loosing his comic side. And make a real merge of the name, not using the "we merged the name" like an excuse. We true fans dont mind his japanise evil scientist alias "Eggman", we just want to hear a bit more of "Dr. Robotnik" like in the 90s. If Tails is Miles "Tails" Prower, why can we have more Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik?

Chraracters is a huge problem with the series. With EACH game we new people. More annoying characters.

LOVE the old Sonic games. Actually playing thru them currently. I want Sonic CD so bad.

Blaze wasn't a bad new character, but otherwise yea ur right

then their are the character that are suposed to disapear at the end of that game but keep poping up shadow,blaze, and
silver(although he's only been a multiplayer type) it kind of hurts their value.

Man, I gotta tell you. It's hard, but I like Sonic. I always have. I grew up in the 90s, during all that Sonic vs. Mario crap...But Sonic's a cool guy. I thought Sonic Heroes was pretty good. It was as true as a 3D game can get to the original style.

Yeah Blaze was actually cool. But everyone else sucked. (Blaze is in my top 5 sonic characters actually.) The only five characters I like. (eggman doesnt count.)

I love Sonic, but the last Sonic game that I truly enjoyed was SA2 on DC. I've hated every new character starting with SA2, though.

I was so upset that I had to play as Shadow and Rouge in SA2. I loved Eggman's shooting levels, though. (Probably because it was an enhanced version of E-102.) E-102 is the only new character that I liked. Everyone since then has found a way to make me hate them.

Eggman has always been my favorite villian, with K. Rool from the DKC series at a very close second.

Which avatar did you like?

Actually I prefer 2D Sonic, though I know for most people its the other way around, to me 2D Sonic both 8 bit and 16 bit are amongst the best platformers around, also prefer DS Sonic to DS Mario, still a fan of Mario and in terms of 3D games Sonic doesn't even come close.

IMO the best place for Sonic is wiiware, in 2D with about 7 levels of 2 stages each, with bosses & sub bosses, special stages and Sonic 3 style power ups, no text heavy stories, no voices, and a minimum selection of characters.
